Last month (in August) the Indian Home Minister

Chidambaram pointed out that Hindu extremists

commonly known as 'saffron terror', pose an

increasing risk to national security.

"We have recently uncovered a new phenomenon of

'saffron terror' and I ask you to be vigilant," P.

Chidambaram told an annual meeting of police chiefs

inNew Delhi.

"There is no let up in the attempts to radicalize young

men and women in India. Besides, there is recently

uncovered phenomenon of saffron terrorism that has

been implicated in many bomb blasts of the past," he

said.

Some right-wing Hindu groups have been linked to

militant attacks in the west ofIndia and many of their

activists have been found involved in the bomb blasts.

The statement ofIndian home minister, though set the

hardliner Hindu groups on fire and they started

blabbering about "Islamic terrorism", however, this

does not mean there's no substance in Chidambaram's

caveat on the Hindu militancy threat facing the world's

largest democracy. The Hindutva brigade's clamorous

protests and their claim that there's no such thing as

saffron terrorism is an utter lie, which could be

debunked easily, keeping in view the saffron terrorists'

link with Indian political and military stalwarts.

Links of Indian military with Hindutva organizations

are no secret now. Most of such organizations have

been working in the Indian society since ages. Shiv

Sena, Bajrang Dal etc. carry a long history of having

links with the military establishment at different

levels. The root of this cooperation is grounded in th

century-old appeal: "India is for Hindus only". Th

nexus and appeal to Hindu radical ideology is nothin

new but there is something sinister growing now, an

that is the growing influence of this ideology in th

Indian military and those elements that are loos

canons and no longer in control of mainstream India

military leadership or Indian government, but a

promoting their own agenda of Hindutva, a nam

given to the same old appeal of race and religion

regarding India.

Over the years Indian youth is becoming part of thes

militant outfits, working under these organization

with the same ideology of Hindu fascism, but it neve

ends here as the same youth gets recruited into th

Indian military on regular basis. After being recruited

these Hindu fundamentalists keep their links intac

with entities like RSS, VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sen

etc.

This dual linkage of young Indian officers, with bot

military and Hindu fascist organizations, has caused

cancerous effect on the military establishment

India. Ithas brought elements into Indian military th

have their own goals, which do not conform well

military discipline. A national army with its ow

uncontrolled and irrepressible elements is a

dangerous to any country as its real enemy's army ca

be, ifnotmore.

Officers like Gen (R) Premnath Hoon, joined th

Indian army decades ago and served at different pos

all the way to the rank of a General before retiring.

that either before joining the military or during his

service, he had established links with Shiv Sena; but

what is more important is that he was not alone in this

venture, there was active support from within the

Indian military, through the contacts he had made

during his service, like Colonel Jayant Chitale, whowas also in charge of the military selection center at

Pune for many years.

Initiating military training from scratch has its own

prerequisites like, infrastructure, trainers, weapons

and most importantly a slogan to motivate new

recruitment. This is where assets belonging to

RSS/Bajrang Dal/VHP and Shiv Sena in Indian

military and RAW enter into equation to bailout the

above mentioned Hindu terrorist organizations, all of

them vying for Hindu Rashstra (Hindu State). Thisprocess has been in place since many decades and now

it is impossible to say exactly till what level these

elements are controlling the Indian military as well as

RAW's resources to complete Hindu Rashtra dream.

RAW also needs these militants to carry out its

operations both inside and outside India.

As it happens in the intelligence business, it is not

always necessary to give the minutest details to the

governments, until recently, ignored this ever growing

influence of Hindutva ideology in military and RAW,

as there is always an excuse available for the Indian

politicians i.e. Pakistan and lSI, to lay all the blame on

for all the sufferings ofIndian minorities.

Lt Col Jayant Chitale:

The close relations between Gen Hoon and Col Jayant

Chitale are not a secret. The two have been involved in

forming Hindu suicide squads to be used against

minorities in India on the pretext of fighting terrorism.

Last year Lieutenant Colonel (retired) Jayant Rao

Chitale, once again, openly admitted training Hindu

suicide bombers, although he later tried to reject his

own claim that only Hindus were a part of the suicide

squad, by saying that the suicide squad was secular.

Lt Col Chitale the dictator of Maharashtra MilitaryFoundation, while speaking to the media said, "Ours is

a truly secular suicide squad. Every Indian iswelcome

to join my suicide squad." The training session for the

suicide squad, which includes the use of lathis and

swords, takes place near Vasat Village at Ambernath,

an industrial town, which is more than 50 kilometers

away from Mumbai from where, according to Lt Col

Chitale, a batch of 30 students has passed out in the

last 15days.

Earlier the chief of a Hindu fanatic organization, ShivSena, called for forming 'Hindu suicide squads' to

tackle terrorism in India. Furthermore, openly

admitting training Hindu youth for suicide bombing,

the Indian Army officer, Lt Col Jayant Chitale said, "I

have been requesting the government for the last three

years to form this suicide squad, I have sent letters to

the Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, President

Abdul Kalam and the army chief, about the formation

ofthese suicide squads, but there was no response. So,

I started the training program."

When asked what his recruits would do, he said, "The

Pakistanis have disturbed the internal peace in India

and my suicide squads will do the same thing in

Pakistan."

It was earlier mentioned that Lt Col Chitale has been

supported by Lt Col (retired) Lt Gen P N Hoon and a

few other ex-servicemen belonging to the Shiv Sena.

In this context when the media asked Lt Gen Hoon for

his comments, he only denied that Shiv Sena wa

backing the suicide bombing training but h

shamelessly reiterated, "We have started this program

on our own because the country needs such youth

tackle terrorism. Today, the country is being destroye

by the Inter-Services Intelligence of Pakistan. And w

have to do something about it. So, we feel that thes

suicide squads are the answer for the Pakistanis."

RSS Training:

Now, it shouldn't come as a surprise that both Gen (R

Premnath Hoon and Colonel Jayant Chitale als

served RAW at different positions. The Indian Police

on several occasions, got the information about th

involvement of these elements in terrorist activities

but each time some unseen hand stopped th

investigation midway, before it could be completed

One such example is ATS (Anti Terror Squadinvestigations from Col Jayant in 2002. Th

investigations were forced to stop when ATS wa

about to prove links between the Indian military an

Hindu Zionists, and this intervention came from non

other than RAW itself.

Role of Hindu tva in 26/11 & its goals:

Recent attacks in Mumbai were another manifestation

of these Hindu elements, who had perpetrated Bab

Mosque, Godhra Train fire, Gujrat Massacre, killin

of Christians, Malegoan bombing, Samjhuta Expres

and countless other criminal operations again

Till the start of November 08 every Indian newspape



was publishing reports of arrest of Col. Prouhit and his

confession about Malegoan bombing and supplying

deadly RDX for Samjhuta Express inferno in 2007.

The most shocking incident that took place within the

first 15 minutes ofMumbai attacks, was the killing of

three top ATS officers including ATS Chief Hemant

Karkare, at the hands of "gunmen" on 26th Nov. 2008.

Itis now becoming more and more evident that he wasactually murdered by the cold blooded assassins of

Hidutva, trained inRAW training camps.

This connection of RAW with the terrorists was

exactly what Hemant Karkare was investigating from

Col Shankar Purohit, a serving officer in the Indian

army, currently deputed in RAW, who was arrested by

ATS in connection with the Malegoan bomb blasts and

Samjhuta express.

It was only after 8th Nov. 2008 that the news about Col.Purohit's confession in Malegoan blasts and Samjhuta

express incident, had started to surface. He also revealed

that he was not the only serving army officer linked to

Gen Premnath Hoon's terror network. Ramesh

Upadhyaya a retired Major of Indian Army, was also

among the accused in the Malegoan blasts. The ATS had

also disclosed that there might be two other serving

colonels facing charges of involvement in these blasts in

Malegoan in Sep. 07. Now it was clear that ATS was

close to uncovering a whole cartel of Hindu terrorists in

the midst of the Indian military establishment and RAW.So the hardliner Hindus from fundamentalist

organizations started giving death threats to chief of

Anti-Terrorist Court, Hemant Karkare, but he resolutely

carried on with the investigation, till the D-Day arrived

i.e. 26/11/08. Investigations were a little slow as ATS

was not receiving the required cooperation from the

police in the neighboring states. However, by that time,

the media aswell as the masses had become quite aware

ofthe root cause ofthe actual problem.

After calculating the expected damage to their cartel, thefundamentalist Hindu groups decided to eliminate

Karkare. But it was to be done in such a manner that the

Indian military's involvement in this operation would

remain completely unknown. Again, trained terrorists of

Atma Ghatak Phatak (AGP) [suicidal squad once

desired by Bal Thackeray] were picked for the job to

eliminate Karkare in a way that the blame can put be on

Pakistan and lSI.

India tried its best to stage a perfect terrorist plot asbeing

planned and controlled from Pakistan by lSI. But

seems now that India fell into hole it had dug fo

Pakistan, as more and more reports are highlighted o

the media about these attacks and the inefficiency o

Indian Police, Army, RAW to protect Indian citizens

More confessions are on the way to unleash the siniste

nexus between RAW,Indian army and terrorists. All thi

happened due to the very strong rebuttal from Pakistanmedia in reaction to what India was propagating to th

world during the crisis when investigations had not eve

started. Consequently, a considerable portion of th

Indian intelligentsia started to look for problems withi

instead of believing what the government news agencie

were selling totheworld and Indian masses.

Latest investigations from Col Purohit revealed tha

some colonels and a major were also part of Malegeo

massacre. Initially the Indian army was mortified whe

Col. Purohit's confession came out in the mediaregarding Malegeon and Samjhuta Express. Col Raika

& Col Hasmukh Patel were also responsible fo

masterminding Malegeon blasts.

Recently it has been learned that the above -mentione

officers, although not yet charged, are undergoin

investigation, astheir names had alsobeen mentioned b

Col Purohit. The other serving officer who has bee

accused and investigated in the official charge sheet,

Colonel Bapaditya Dhar of Parachute Regiment a

Panchmarhi.

After looking at these names, it is safe to assume that o

further investigation from this newly accused Col. Dha

more links of Indian Army with fundamentalist Hind

organizations will be uncovered, laying bare the fasci

elements among the top ranks ofIndi anArmy.

After the emergence of these facts, the India

establishment was forced topretend asif they were neve

aware of the presence of these terrorists in their mids

Army were "fully cooperating" with the investigatin

agencies. "It's a matter of serious concern to all of us.

We are determined to go to the root of the entire issue,

he said. "Weare awaiting their (ATSand IB) report.. ..W

will take all necessary steps after that. Weare also takin

internal steps (to prevent any occurrence of suc

incidents)," he added.

It is ironic why he is not willing to shed some light on

what the former Indian Prime Minister, VP Singh had

said in front of Jain Commission inNov. 1996, regarding

the formation ofthe LTTE terrorist network in 1983.Mr.

Singh said, "The first batch of training of Sri Lankan

Tamil militants was done by India in 1983 under the

orders of the then Prime Minister (Late) Mrs. Indira

Gandhi. The camp was located at Chakrata, TamilNadu."

So it is clear now that the successive Indian governments

aswell as the intelligence agencieswere not only aware of

these links of the Indian military with terrorist

organizations, but they used these links in order to pursue

the national policy of state terrorism, and alarmingly

enough, the practice continues even today. (There are

highly active offices and training camps ofRAWworking

along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan, creating low

intensity conflicts with the Pakistani state and military inorder to soften it up for a major military battle on the

Eastern front.)

Recently, out of sheer embarrassment, the Indian Army

Chief General Kapoor said, "Steps are being taken to

prevent involvement of its officers in terror attacks".

What can be read into this statement is quite evident:

"Steps are being taken to erase all clues in possession of

ATS, regarding the terror attacks." It is also a cause of

suspicion that why he did not announce abroader inquiry

into unearthing the remains of this nexus between theIndian military and Hindutva terrorists. However, after

looking at the above facts and analyzing the history of

these relations, it would be foolish to expect any such

inquiry ever taking place in the Indian military.

Immediate goals of 26/11 are more evident than ever

before ...

1. Eliminate Hemant Karkare along with his

team to put breaks on the ongoing

investigations, which were uncovering alllinks between Indian military, RAW and

Hindutva organizations.

2. Divert attention towards lSI so that no one in

India could ask about the investigations being

conducted by Karkare and his team before

they got assassinated.

3. Advocate Hindutva message that Muslims

are root cause of panic in India so these mu

be either converted to Hinduism or must b

eliminated from Indian soil.

4. Create a media wave to divert attention fro

incidents like Malegeon and Samjhuta Expre

blast, hence diverting attention from

investigations ofthese incidents aswell.

It is also to be noted that Lt Col Jayant Chitale an

serving Indian Col Purohit are also neighbors where

Gen Hoon and many other ex-Indian army officers a

active contributors of suicide bombing training to Hind

youth and also admit it openly. This paints a dangerou

scenario for India in particular and the world in genera

where the Indian army is taking part in training suicid

bombers after being initiated into Hindu

fundamentalism.

If these elements are left unfettered in the future, whic

is a sure possibility, keeping in view the track record

RAW,then there is a strong possibility ofIndian nucle

weapons falling in the hands of Hindu fundamentalists

who are more dangerous to the world than Pakistan

religious groups.

Indian politics and successive governments over th

years have been manipulated by Hindu fundamentali

organizations like RSS, Bajrang Dal and BJP. Thes

organizations, over the decades, since the creationIndia, have gradually penetrated the Indian army.

India has been governed over by civilians throughout i

history, while the armed forces have been sidelined

many issues, including the nuclear assets, which a

more under the control of the civilian government tha

the Indian army.

Now, with the top ranking officials of Indian arm

having links with Hindu hardline politicians, who a

fanatics and running suicide training camps, it is fearethat the Indian nuclear assets might slip into the hands

these Hindu fundamentalists, who have been ruthlessl

killing Christians, Muslims and Dalits in India.

God forbid, if these Hindu fundamentalists manage

take control of the Indian nuclear weapons, then th

regional peace and stability will face catastrophi

threats of colossal proportions.
