Indian Central School started functioning on 31 st August 1994, with the aim of imparting quality education and excelling in producing all round students. It is a progressive Senior Second- ary Public School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. This school is also a member of the prestigious Council of CBSE Affiliated Schools in the Gulf and shares expertise in cultural, literary, sports and educational activities. Co-curricular activities are an integral part of education which unfold the latent talents in the children. The students from Classes I onwards are divided into four houses. Each house has six Prefects, a Vice Captain and a House Captain. They are selected on the basis of their academic performance and contribution in school programmes .

Each house takes its turn in conducting the programme in the assembly. The whole assembly programme is prepared, presented and directed by students. The competi-tions like Recitation, Public Speaking, Extempore, Versification, Light music, In-strumental, Classical, Group song, Rangoli, Cooking, What’s a good word, Quiz, Radio show, open tournaments, Camping, Creative Writing, Song, Dance, Athletics, Tournaments of various games, Drawing and Painting, Fancy Dress etc. are held on House basis to promote healthy spirit of competition. Selected students represent the school at Inter School level in sports and cultural activities. National Days and Festi-vals are celebrated with great pomp and show. As per the CBSE scheme of continu-ous and comprehensive evaluation,class tests are conducted in all the subjects which are given due weightage in internal assessment.Field trips and picnics play a great role in the development of Students. Students are also exposed to the community through various service activities. Apart from these, school tries to impart the best values to the students.

Promising students are awarded prizes for good performance in academic and co-curricular activities. The students securing high percentage of marks among the class students and students getting highest marks in subjects are given special prizes. All round students are judged throughout the year and are motivated. Special prizes are awarded for turn out, attendance, adherence to discipline etc. Children who perform well in other activities are also encouraged through certificates and prizes.

Admission is open to all students, irrespective of any distinction. The students who take the admission here shall fulfil the minimum requirements for the class to which he / she is seeking the admission. A child will be put to test the fitness for class by the Principal. For admissions the parent is expected to submit the duly filled application forms in Arabic and English
