As the ministry of industry, Airlangga Hartarto has done many things, such as promoting vocational education in line with industry needs to prepare superior human resources, negotiate crude palm oil (CPO) products as biodiesel raw materials to be accepted in Europe, do a lot of training for various Industry sectors, to the consistency of encouraging the growth of small andmedium industries in Indonesia.

He Lead transformation of vocational School, pioneering link and match between industry and middle school or vocational school. The program include further life learning education Diploma 1 and further Polytechnic School.. The program also endorse by Swiss Government as well as support by Singapore ITE.

He Also set road map for Indonesia embarking on Industry 4.0 based on education, SME inclusiveness, in depth industry value chain increasing productivity and efficiency and innovation based Economy in cooperation with leading institution Tsing Hua University Beijing, China.

To disseminate his ideas, Airlangga Hartarto has also made it happen through several books of his work. Some of them are Clustering Strategies in Industrialization in Indonesia (2004), Building Independence, Creating National Energy Security Sustainability (2014) and Knitting Hope: Building Industry, towards a Prosperous and Equitable Indonesia (2016)

• In 2002 as a apeaker presented join paper in Ammonia Safety Plant Symposium, AIChE # 46 di Montreal,Canada.• In Oct. 2012 as team leader with 7 (seven) engineers of PT Tracon. (a subsidiary of PT Rekayasa Industry) has

successfully done an assessment of Central Processing Plant of PT Medco,in Gunung Megang, Lematang, South Sumatera. The assessment report is used by PT Medco Lematang for 1st turn around in 2014.
