VISION
To emerge as a leading ‘Centre for Excellence’ in the field of ‘Pharmaceutical Education &
Research’ and evolve world class professionals to serve healthcare needs of an ever changing
global society.
MISSION
To impart excellent and quality education through value based system to produce not just global
professionals but ingenious thinkers in the field of Pharmacy and Health care.
ABOUT MAEERS MIP AND IIPC
An Industry-Institute Partnership (IIP) Cell is set up in the MAEERS, Maharashtra Institute of
Pharmacy, Pune under the IIPC Scheme of AICTE in order to cater to the needs of Industries,
Government and non-Government Organizations. The IIP Cell has the potential in developing a
healthy, harmonious, mutually inter-dependent and synergistic relationship between academic
institutions and corporate organizations. All stakeholders, namely, institution, industry, students
and the society are expected to gain from this cell as it can be a win-win partnership. Institution
stands to gain by way of revenue generation through consultancy development of employable
manpower and most importantly the development of brand equity. Industry stands to gain by way
of its problems being addressed by the institution as also by the increased productivity. Faculty
stands to gain by way of exposure to latest industry practices and the students stand to gain by way
of hands-on-training and reduction of learning curve in industrial practices. Finally the society
stands to gain by way of improved quality of goods and services.
OBJECTIVES OF THE CELL:
(a) To arrange industrial training and industrial Visits for students and faculty and identify
student project work in Industries.
(b) To encourage Industry to collaborate in Industry Study Tour Programmes (ISTP) and
placement of students in Industries.
(c) To interact with R&D Organizations for conducting joint research work involving
faculty/scientists and students/research scholars etc.
(d) Signing MOU’s with industry and Institutes. Setting up of technology parks in
collaboration with alumni and industry for cost effective opportunity for R&D leading to

marketable products.
(e) Personality development workshop for students relating with soft skills (communication
skills / personality development)

In order to make the effective utilization of facilities and expertise available in the Institute, and to
Guide the IIPC to work effectively and efficiently.
