Little Reef Swim School
These preschool swim lessons will focus on the basics of swimming and playing safely in the water. Swimmers will be evaluated during the first class and will be placed with other children near the same level. Evaluations noting your child's achievements will be provided at the end of the session.

Movement Classes
Music and Movement
This class is designed to get your child active and moving to the music. We will complete warm-up exercises, finger rhymes, and movement songs. We will do new things each week as well as repeat their favorites. Participants will be encouraged to climb, run, jump, and play with other children as they learn movement to music. We will also strengthen color, number, and animal knowledge by singing songs. Parents are welcome to stay in class with child, but not required. It is designed to get your child used to a classroom environment. Instructor provided by Motions, Inc.

Gymnastics
Children love to climb, jump, roll, and flip their bodies. This class will get them moving safely and correctly. We will spotlight the floor, beam, bar and trampoline. Basic fundamentals of each event will be taught and practiced. There will be some down time with this class to accommodate safety procedures; children will have practice activities to complete during this time. Terminology, poise and body coordination will be developed. Instructor provided by Motions, Inc.

Sports Readiness
Sports of All Sorts
Ready, Set, Go! This class will help develop general sports skills in a fun, safe and noncompetitive environment. A different sport will be explored each class. Some of the sports that we will be focusing on are soccer, basketball, softball, football and track & field. We will include warm-up exercises, rules of the game, and drills and skills. Participants will also play fun games to reinforce what they have learned. Children should wear tennis shoes, comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. Instructor provided by Motions, Inc.

Special Events Touch A Truck
Touch a Truck day gives children an opportunity to touch, feel, and climb into and out of each truck or car. Your child could see fire trucks, police cars, tractors, rescue vehicles, and much more. Each child needs to be accompanied by an adult. Remember to bring a camera! GROUP SPECIAL: 1 or 2 children: $5 a child; 3-5 children the price is $15 total. Have 6 or more children? Build and bring to life real working machines. Create a spinning top, a singing monkey, and many other exciting and challenging creations. We will use LEGO building sets to assemble the projects and then animate those projects using laptops with software. The class will enrich your child's modeling and computer abilities, along with teaching them basic engineering and design skills.

Swim Team
Swim Team is a great way for your swimmer to gain experience and confidence in the pool while competing in a friendly environment. Practices will help your child refine their skills and build their endurance. Swimmers must be able to swim one pool length to participate. Swim meets will be held on 6/22, 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20 & 7/27. Register online for one child, through 327-PARK for more than one child to receive sibling discounts.

Boy Scout Bird Study Merit Badge
This class will be taught by a park naturalist and a volunteer, both trained merit badge counselors. Binoculars, field guides, and all materials will be provided. Sundays 10-2 by appointment only. There must be at least 10 scouts registered for a class to take place. $5/scout for the class.

This aquatic class is centered around stretching, range of motion, and flexibility, all easing some of the pains associated with arthritis. This class does not focus on cardiovascular exercise. Our private swim lessons will provide the swimmer with either five or ten 30 minute one-on-one swim lessons with an instructor during open pool hours. Nature Outdoor Adventures
Hoosier Canoe Club
Thatcher Pool is a great place for kids and grownups to try kayaking in a safe, warm environment. Volunteers from the Hoosier Canoe Club will encourage you try their boats and teach you basic paddle skills and safety tips. Every first Wednesday of each month, Kids have the opportunity to learn kayaking techniques for FREE. Must register two weeks in advance. Paddlers who catch the bug can get advice about boats and gear, learn how to roll or self-rescue a kayak and join the HCC on paddling trips across Indiana and beyond.
