The Fraxel® laser has become the standard in anti-ageing laser treatments to restore ageing and sun damaged skin, giving the best textural improvement of any laser, tightening the skin, as well as removing unsightly pigmentation spots and melasma. It is useful for treating the face, neck, décolletage and back of the hands.

The Fraxel® laser is also now the treatment of choice for acne scars, and unlike IPL, can be used on all skin types including asian and darker skin.

The Fraxel® laser is the only device specially designed to resurface a fraction of the skin at a time without breaking its protective outer barrier. This approach allows for dramatic cosmetic improvement without the redness, downtime and discomfort of traditional laser resurfacing. 3-5 treatments, spaced 4 weeks apart are usually required, depending on the problem being treated.

Further improvement continues for weeks to months as collagen production and remodelling occurs. Some patients return to routine activities (including work and social events) the same day, while some require 1-2 days off (treatment Fri – return to work Mon).

Fraxel® Laser Resurfacing

Titan™ is a safe, non-surgical process that uses an infrared light source to tone, lift and tighten the skin and reverse the signs of ageing.

The Titan™ heats the dermis (the inner layer of the skin) causing collagen contraction and stimulating long-term collagen remodelling, providing a taut and youthful appearance.

The Titan™ procedure can be used anywhere, including the abdomen, thighs and arms, as well as on the face and neck.

The tightening effect can often be noted after the very first treatment, although a series of three treatments spaced one month apart is usually performed to give optimal results.

Titan™ Non-Surgical Skin Tightening

The Fraxel® laser is now the best treatment for a range of conditions, including:

Titan™ procedures take around 20 - 30 minutes, and are mostly performed without any local anaesthetic, with all patients returning to work immediately.

It improves both acne scarring and surgical scars, reduces pore size, and treats sun damage including pigmentation spots and wrinkles.

The Dermaroller™ is a medical device that uses tiny needles to stimulate the skin to produce new elastin and collagen fibres, improving skin texture. The ultra fine needles work deep into the skin and yet the skin remains intact, so there is no downtime. Most skin types will remain pinkish for a maximum of 12-24 hours. After just one treatment you will notice a smoother, glowing skin. After three-five treatments lines will diminish and there is a dramatic improvement in acne scarring.

Not all Dermarollers however are the same. Only medical clinics may treat with the medical grade version of the device (1.0-1.5mm) that allows penetration to the depth required to achieve real results (Dermaroller™ needle lengths range from 0.3 to 1.5 mm). The Clinic Care Dermaroller™ is the only one approved by the TGA (Therapeutics Goods Association) in Australia, which means that there is evidence to support these impressive claims.

Only about 0.3% of cosmeceutical products such as Vitamin A are absorbed through the surface of your skin – use of the Dermaroller™ increases the penetration by up to 200 times. This will increase the effectiveness of your normal skin care regime significantly, giving additional benefit from products such as Vitamin A and antioxidants such as Vitamin C, Copper and other products such as Niacinamide.

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a broad spectrum of light that efficiently targets brown age spots, small veins, capillaries, diffuse redness (rosacea) and uneven skin tone. IPL is designed to achieve visible improvement in the skin with no downtime and minimal discomfort.

Two or three treatments are usually required, performed at two to three weekly intervals. All areas of the body can be treated, including the face, neck, décolletage, back of the hands, forearms, arms and back. Patients with signs of sundamage can notice an immediate decrease in irregular pigmentation and small capillaries, with the skin being smoother with a decrease in fine lines and a reduction in pore size.

Treatment duration can range from 20 mins to 1hr, with patients being able to walk out and return to normal activities including work immediately. Results can be dramatically enhanced by the use of a medical skin care regime individually designed to address specific skin conditions, especially against sun damage and pigmentation.

Dermaroller™ is a procedure that improves skin texture and treats acne scarring and stretch marks anywhere on the body.

Using a Dermaroller™ also increases the effectiveness of your skin care products.

The main advantage of IPL is that it gives a visible improvement in sun damage after just two treatments with no downtime, especially in combination with Laser Genesis. However it does not give the same textural improvement as the Fraxel® laser.

This process provides dramatic improvement in uneven skin texture, large pores, fine lines and excessive redness and flushing of the skin (rosacea). It can also be used to treat surgical scars.

Treatment duration depends greatly on which skin condition is being treated, but can range from 15 minutes to 1 hour.

A treatment course of six treatments two weeks apart is recommended with subtle yet consistent results noticed after each treatment.

Laser Genesis works as an adjunct to other treatment modalities to enhance results for many skin complaints. The use of a medical skin care regime is recommended to profoundly improve the final outcome, especially for Rosacea.

Laser Genesis

Combination therapy is the use of multiple treatment modalities to help achieve your goals. For example, combining the Titan™ with IPL and Laser Genesis will provide you with firmer tauter skin and a complexion with markedly reduced open pores, small capillaries and pigmentation. There are many combinations that can be used to ensure that your needs are adequately met, with a variety of packages available to rejuvenate your skin.

Whatever the problem being treated the use of a medical grade skin care regime is recommended to help maintain the results achieved with laser treatments. The skin care regime can profoundly improve the final outcome, especially when treating sun damage and pigmentation.

Ten Years Younger Programme

Amazing results can be achieved in just a short period of time for a special event or for an instant pick me up. A ten day programme usually includes a treatment with one of our Registered Nurses and a visit to our Cosmetic Physician. There are some immediate results with the full results achieved in as little as ten days.

Longer programmes may be tailored for you for longer lasting results or where premature ageing is more apparent. Laser treatments produce great results when treating lines, sagging, pigmentation and other signs of ageing. Your results will always look completely natural.

Laser Genesis is a comfortable, non-ablative, non-invasive form of skin therapy that targets dilated capillaries and gently heats the deep layers of the skin promoting new collagen formation.

Infinity incorporates the most recent advancements in product choice and injection techniques to provide flawless facial contours, eliminate wrinkles and add volume and definition to lips, cheeks and other area of the face.

There are a number of options to reduce wrinkles in the upper part of the face (forehead/crowfeet area). In this area Botox™ is usually used as the initial treatment, which temporarily weakens the action of the muscles that produce these lines, causing the lines to diminish after treatment. Botox™ takes away a stressed or anxious appearance, giving a more youthful and relaxed look. If Botox™ is used to treat lines that are very shallow, then often these disappear completely. If the lines are deep and permanent then other treatments may be required if you wish the lines to be removed completely, such as dermal fillers or Fraxel® laser.

When injected into specific facial muscles, Botox™ is able to adjust the shape and contour of eyebrows, and Botox™ can also be used to reduce platysmal muscle bands in the neck and to give a neck lift (Nefertiti lift).

For lines in the lower half of the face eg around the lips/nasolabial folds dermal fillers, such as Restylane® or Juvederm, are used to smooth the skin. Dermal fillers contain a clear gel containing hyaluronic acid, a natural material found in skin. Hyaluronic acid holds water, hydrating and giving volume to skin. As we get older the production of our own natural hyaluronic acid decreases.A simple injection replenishes the lost volume and improves your looks by enhancing your profile, smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

Cosmetic Injections, Lip Enhancement & Facial Contouring

Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) is commonly undiagnosed and can also be effectively treated with a series of injections, allowing you to wear a full range of clothes and lead a more active lifestyle. The FDA has approved the use of Botox™ for Axillary Hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating), although it can be used to treat sweating on the palms and soles of the feet as well. The procedure takes about 10 minutes and the effects of the treatment last about 7–9 months.

Excessive Sweating

Migraine headaches affect 18 percent of women and 6 percent of men, with about one-third of patients with chronic migraine headaches having no relief with standard therapies.

Recent evidence suggests that many patients suffering from migraines have a significant benefit from the use of Botox™. This finding was originally noted in patients who had Botox™ injections for cosmetic purposes, but there have now been a number of trials showing that many patients have a total reduction in migraines for 2-3 months after Botox™, with most patients having a significant improvement in both the number and intensity of their migraines.

For those patients who have a significant improvement in migraine symptoms after Botox™, surgical removal of the triggering muscles via endoscopic browlift or blepharoplasty incisions can produce a more permanent improvement in the migraine symptoms.

Migraine Treatment

Dermal fillers are temporary, lasting 6-18 months, depending on the type of filler used.

Long-lasting dermal fillers can be used to lift and fill out cheeks and other areas of the face, such as the chin, along the jawline, hollows under the eyes and the back of the hands. Permanent fillers should not be used, as lines on the face change with time. There are more permanent options for deeper creases on the nasolabial folds and cheeks such as fat transfer, and for lines actually on the lip then the best treatment is the Fraxel® laser.

If regular treatments with Botox™ are started before permanent lines develop, then you will delay and possibly prevent any wrinkles appearing, helping to maintain a youthful appearance.

Sclerotherapy is the injection of a special solution into unwanted leg and face veins. Using a micro-injection technique, the solution irritates the vessels causing adhesion of the lining and prevents regular blood flow. Over the following weeks the vessels shrink and gradually fade from view. Generally one to two treatments are required.

After treatment of leg veins special surgical graduation compression pantyhose are worn continuously for 48 hours, and then only during the day for another two to three weeks after this.

Treated veins can sometimes reappear but usually it is a new vein appearing near the treated area. Most clients will need more than one treatment and this is usually performed one or two months later.

MicrodermabrasionMicrodermabrasion is a process which removes dead skin cells from the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin), cleaning out blocked pores and enhancing skin tone. The process increases sluggish skin cell turnover and enhances cosmeceutical uptake, producing fresh, glowing skin.

Microdermabrasion improves many skin conditions and imperfections such as active acne, extraction of blackheads and whiteheads, congested skin and reduction of acne scars. Microdermabrasion is best utilised as a course of treatments (usually 6), spaced 2-3 weeks apart, or in conjunction with the light based treatments IPL and Laser Genesis, and Fraxel® laser. It is also usually used in conjunction with a medical skin care regime – the combination ensures more progressive and rapid results.

Sclerotherapy & Leg Vein Treatments

Infinity has the most advanced and effective skin care ranges on the market. Skin care regimes are vital and highly recommended in conjunction with all laser and light based services for sustained long-term improvement in skin quality and rejuvenation. Personalised and structured regimes are tailored to each person. The recent addition of mineral makeup to our skin care range allows a fully integrated regime of superior products to enhance any surgical, laser or light-based treatments.

As well as being the most effective products, the brands we use at Infinity we have chosen because they are also lovely to use, usually with light fragrances sourced from nature.

A regular daily skin care program should contain:• Skin exfoliants and stimulating agents, such as alpha

hydroxy acids (AHAs) and Retinol (vitamin A)• Topical antioxidants and collagen stimulating agents

which help your skin both protect and repair itself eg topical vitamin C and Copper (these help protect against the sun damage and other environmental factors)

• Topical Niacinamide (vitamin B17) reduces the immunosuppression caused by UV radiation, and may help prevent skin cancers

• Sunscreens, which should provide protection against both UVA and UVB

• Mineral makeup should be worn everyday as this is protective against the sun

Consideration should also be given to having Dermaroller™ treatments to increase the effectiveness of your skin care regime. Skin care programs involving the above agents often take 3-6 months to achieve the ideal maximum effect possible – the idea is to be on the highest concentration of product that your skin will tolerate. The treatment needs to be continued for any improvement to be maintained, and it is essential to prevent further damage by changing lifestyle factors, especially sun avoidance.

Medical Grade Skin Care Regimes - Cosmeceuticals

There are restrictions in both the concentration and pH of products sold over the counter, and many of the creams or gels marketed as containing substances such as Retinol or Vitamin C have only very small amounts of the active ingredient. These do not have the beneficial effects produced by these substances in a more concentrated form available with products sold only under medical supervision.

Cosmeceuticals contain 5 times the active ingredients that normal salon products contain, which is why a Medi-facial is able to produce far superior results than your standard salon facial. We include medical grade Microdermabrasion to further enhance the benefits. Medi-facials are used for all skin types and concerns including dry or ageing skin, breakout or acne skin, rosacea, pigmentation etc.

Medical Strength Facial Peels

Chemical peels provide skin rejuvenation for fine lines, wrinkles and pigmentation problems and alleviate many common skin disorders such as acne and rosacea.

Initially a series of three peels are recommended followed by periodic maintenance peels.

CosMedix chirally-correct chemical peels contain ingredients that have undergone a purification process that ensure positive, superior results. Peels that are not chirally-correct may lead to allergic or adverse reactions.

They are designed to stimulate gentle change deep in the skin to maximise results and minimise downtime. The more effective peels require 10-30 days of skin preparation prior to use.

Medi-facials Purity Peel™ - this intense formulation is designed to penetrate excess oil to correct skin conditions such as acne and enlarged pores.

Medical grade skin care products have five times the active ingredients compared to over the counter products.

Often simple skin care regimes with cleansers, Retinol and alpha-hydroxy acids improves active acne. If skin products alone are not effective a course of microdermabrasion or medical strength peels will produce faster results and also give additional improvement. These are simple treatments with no down-time, allowing you to return to work immediately.

If the acne scarring is quite mild then the use of a simple medical skin regime in combination with Microdermabrasion and Laser Genesis treatments can significantly improve the appearance of the skin. This can be a slow process and it often takes 3-6 months to see the total effect.

Occasionally deep ‘ice-pick’ scars need to be excised, but in general if the acne scarring is quite extensive then the Fraxel® laser is currently the treatment of choice. 3-5 laser treatments spaced 4 weeks apart are usually required. The improvement continues for weeks to months as continued collagen production and remodelling occurs. Some patients return to routine activities (including work and social events) the same day, while some require 1-2 days off (treatment Fri – return to work Mon).

An alternative to the Fraxel® laser is the Dermaroller™. Collagen Induction Therapy with the Dermaroller™ uses a roller with tiny needles to penetrate the skin, stimulating new collagen formation and improving skin texture.

It also treats and prevents ingrown hairs and cysts that are commonly caused by shaving and waxing. Laser hair removal uses a highly concentrated light source that is absorbed by the pigment in hair follicles, producing heat which vaporizes the pigment, eliminating or significantly reducing hair growth.

Most areas of hair growth can be treated, including the face, underarms, legs, arms, bikini line, abdomen, nipples, chest and back.

Effective treatment only occurs within the hair’s active growth phase, with only 25-30% of hairs being in the growth phase at any one time, therefore several treatments are necessary.

On average 4-6 treatments are necessary for optimal results, with the treatments spaced 6 weeks apart, so a minimum period of 3 months is necessary for effective hair reduction.
