1. INTRODUCTION
Thismanualhasbeencompiledtoaidyoutooperateyourcraftsafely.Pleaseensureyoureadthecompletemanualandfamiliariseyourselfwiththecraftbeforeusingit.
Ifthisisyourfirstboat,orareunfamiliarwiththistypeofboat,ensurethatyouobtainexperi-enceinoperatingandhandlingofthistypeofboatbeforeuse.Askyourlocaldealerforinfor-mationonlocalschoolsorinstructorsifrequired.
Ensurethatthewind&seaconditionscorrespondtothedesigncategoryofyourboat,andthattheallcrewonboardareabletohandlethecraftintheseconditions.
YourboathasbeencarefullycategorisedtoDesigncategoryD,forwhichconditionsupto,andincluding,windforce4andsignificantwaveheightsupto,andincluding,0.3mmaybeexpe-rienced,withoccasionalwavesof0.5mmaximumheight,forexamplefrompassingvessels.Thesearepotentiallydangerousconditionswhereonlyatrained,compatent&fitcrewcansatisfactorilyoperate.
Thisowners’manualisnotadetailedmaintenanceortroubleshootingguide.Ifyourequireanyspecificassitanceoradviceonthemaintenanceorserviceofyourboat,seekadvicefromyourdealer.
Alwaysuseanauthorisedserviceagentforanyrepairs,modificationsorfixingofthisboat.Themanufacturerwillnotbeheldresponsibleforanymodificationsthathavenotbeenapproved.
Notethatinsomecountries,specificregulationssuchasadrivinglisenceorauthorisationisrequired.Pleasecheckwiththelocalauthoritybeforeenteringthewater.Alwaysmaintainyourcraftproperlyandmakeallowancefordeteriorationthatwilloccurintimeandasaresultofheavyuseormisuse.
Theboatcanbecomedamagedwhenmisused,itisveryimportanttoenforcecorrectuse.Alwaysadjustthespeedanddirectionofyourboattotheseaconditions.
Ensureappropriatesafetyequipmentsuchaslifejackets&harnessesarecarriedonboardatalltimes.Notethatitismandatorytocarrythisequipmentissomecountries.
Theboatcrewshouldbefamiliarwithallimportantsafetyproceduresandemergencymanou-vering(manoverboardrecoveryetc).
Eachpersononboardshouldwearasuitablelifejacket,buoyancyaidorpersonalfloatationatalltimes.Notethatinsomecountriesitisalegalrequirementtowearalifejacketthatcom-plieswiththeirregulations.
KEEP THIS MANUAL IN A SECURE PLACE, AND ENSURE THAT IT IS HANDED OVER WITH THE BOAT SHOULD THE BOAT CHANGE HANDS.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY POINTS VERY CAREFULLY.
TRAINING1.Readthisinstructionmanualcarefullybeforeuse.2.Ifyouintendtouseanoutboardmotorwithyourcraft,ensurethatyoureadtheinstructionstothisthoroughly.3.Itistheresponsibilityoftheperson(s)inchargeofoperatingtheboattolearnthelawsonhowitshouldbeoperatedandwhichadequateequipmentshouldbecarried.Factorstobeconsideredinclude: -Locationwheretheboatiscommissioned -Localauthorityrequirements -Typeofuseoftheboat -Thetimeofdayinwhichthecraftwillbeused -Operatingconditions -Size,speedrouteandtypeofboat -Navigationmode4.Onceyouaresatisfiedthatyoufullyacknowledgeandunderstandtheapplicablelaws,ensurethatyoureadthefollowingsafetyinstructions.PREPERATION1.Eachpassengermustwearadequateclothingandasuitablelifejacket.2.Ensurethatthestandardboatequipmentisonboardandfitforuse.Thisincludestheoars,footpumpandrepairkit.Notethatadditionalsurvivalequipmentmaybeneccessary.3.Theboatshouldneverbeoperatedbyperson(s)undertheinfluenceofalcoholordrugs.4.Donot exceed themaximum load ratingormaximumenginepower indicatedwithin thisinstructionleaflet/buildersplate.5.Ensurethatyoufactorwind&tidepatternsbeforedisembarking.Anyvariationinthesecanhaveaneffectonfuelconsumption.6. Consult with local authority to familiarise yourself with any dangers and hazards beforenavigatingwithinunfamiliarwaters.7.Informsomeoneonshoreofyourtimeandpointofdeparture,yourrouteandtheestimatedtimethatyouwillreturn.8.Donotnavigatewithindarkconditionswithoutanynavigationallightinginstalled.Checkallnavigationalproductsinstalledarefullyworking.9.Itisthedurtoftheboatoperatortoknowandfullyunderstandmaritimeregulationsandtoenquireaboutweatherandwaterconditionsbeforeheadingouttosea.10.Ensureallsurvivalequipment(signalflares,firstaidkit,anchoretc)arefullychecked.11.Donotuseacompressedairsourcetoinflatetheboat.Overinflationmaycausetheseamsto rupture. Note that no inflatable product is 100% airtight, and that it is normal for yourcrafttoloseairduringlongperiodsofactivity/inactivity.Ifexcessivepressureislost,seizeuseimmediatelyandcontactyourdealer.12.Considercarefullywhetheroarsorasmalloutboardmotorshouldbeuseddependingonseaconditions.Thepowermaynotbeenoughtocountertidalcurrentsorshallowwater.13.DONOTEXCEEDRECOMMENDEDENGINEPOWERRATINGS!Anoutboardenginewithtoomuchpowercanbeverydangerousandmayresultinseriousconsequences.14.Ifyouintendtouseanoutboardengine,ensurethatyoufitanemergencykill-switchcord.15. Check regulary that your outboard engine is completely secure. If your engine becomesloose,yourcraftmaybecomeuncontrollableormaycomeunattached.16.Avoidplacingyourcraftincontactwithobjectswhichhaveatemperaturelowerthan-20ºCorhigherthan60ºC.Thiscanseriouslydamagetheboatskin.

2. SAFETY INFORMATION
REFUELLING
1.Storefuelincontainersspecificallydesignedforthatpurpose.2.Refuelwhilstoutof the craftonly.Donot start theenginewhilst refuelling.Never smokewhilstrefuellingorhandlingfuel.3.Donotremovethefuelcaporrefuelwiththeenginerunning,orwhilstitisstillhot.4.Youmuststoptheengineandturnofftheignitionbeforerefuelling.5.Handlefueltankswithcaution,avoidingleakswithintheboatorwater.6.Donot start the engine if fuel has leaked/spilled. Avoid creating sparks until the fuel hascompletelyevaporatedandthefumeshavedissipated.7.Ensurefuelcapsaretightlyclosedwhennotinuse.8.Reducepersonsonboardtoaminimumwhenrefuelling.9.Ensurethatafireextinguisheriskeptonboard.10.Donotoverfillyouroutboard.11.Checkthefuelconnectionstopreventfuelleaksandhazards.12.Readtheoutboardengineinstructionsorcontactyourdealerforadviceonwhichtypeoffueltouse.
WARNING! FUEL IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE.
NAVIGATION1.Beawareoftherisksofcarbonmonoxidepoisoning. -Exhaustgasescontaincarbonmonoxidewhichisatoxic,colourlessandodourless gas.Inhalingcarbonmonoxidecanleadtolossofconciousness,andevendeath. -Theconcentrationofexhaustgasesintheairmayincreaseconsiderablyifthe engineisrunningandisinaconfinedarea.Ensurethatadequateventilationis providedtoavoidexcessiveaccumilationofexhaustgases.2.Allpassengersmustbeseatedeavenlyinsidetheboatandmustholdontohandrails/safetyrope.Donotsitonthetubes.3.Ensureproperhandlingoftheoutboardengine.Dangeroushandlingofanoutboardmotormay lead to serious injury or even death. Avoid swimmers, and discourage anyone fromswimmingtotherearoftheboatwhilsttheengineisrunning.4.Avoidrapidaccelerationswhichcancauseyouoryourpassengerstofalloverboard.5. In a circumstance where your craftmust be towed, passengers must disembark, and allequipmentmustberemoved.6.Donottowyourtenderbythemooringringatthefront.Towusingthetowingringsontheside.7.Weightmustbeevenlydistributedaroundthecraft.Donotacceleratesuddenlyifyourboatismotorisedandnotheavilyladen.9.Itisstronglyadvisedthatyoucarrybackupmanualbailingapparatusincaseofleak/flooding.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE1.Neverstoreaboatwithfuelinthetankinaroomwherefuelvapourscouldreachaflame,sparkorstrongsourceofheat.2.Neverusecleaningproducts that includealcohol tocleanyourcraft.Useof these typeofproductsmaycauseprematuredryingoftheboatskin.3.Ensurethatyourboatisstoredinaclean,dryarea-freeofpotentiallyharmfulchemicalsorliquids.4.PVCissensitivetoUVradiation.Ifthecraftmustbestoredoutdoors,ensureitisprotectedwithasuitablecover.

3. STABILITY - RISK OF FLOODING
DO NOT EXCEED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS OR LOAD CAPACITY OF THIS CRAFT Refertothespecificationtableinthismanualorthemanufacturer’splateontheboatforthemaximumnumberofpassengersandloadcapacityoftheboat.Positionthepassengersanddistributetheloadevenlyintheboattohelpcounterbalancetheweightoftheoutboard.

4. RISK OF FIRE

5. MAN-OVERBOARD PREVENTION & RECOVERY
Ifsomeonefallsoverboardtheycanreboardusingasuitablerecoveryladder.Ensurethatyouhavealiferingthatcanbethrowntoapersoninthewater.Inthissituation,youshouldcarefullymovealongsidetheperson,ensuringthattheydonotcomeintocontactwiththeoutboardmotorwhilstoperating.Inthisinstancewerecommendrowingtowardstheperson.Alwaysensurestabilityoftheboatwhenresucingapersonfromsea.Ifthisisnotpossible,callassistancefromanotherboat.Alwaysholdthesafetyropewhenrecoveringsomeonefromthewater.
Ensurethatyouareawareofandrespectthelocalboatinglawsandregulations.Donotexceedregionallimitsfornoiseandemissions.Alwaysuseyourboatwiththeutmostrespectfortheenvironment.Incaseofanoil,fuelorwaterleak,useacleaningmethodbestsuitedtotheenvironment.Ensureappropriatedisposalofresidualwastessuchassolventsandothercleaningproducts.Yourboatgenerateswavesandnoisewhichcanbedetrimentaltothenaturalenvironment.

11. ASSEMBLY OF YOUR CRAFT
1. Lay out boat skinLaytheboatskinoutflatandpullthetransomuprightasmuchaspossible
2. Partially inflate sidesYourboathasthreeairchamberswithintheskin.Beforeyouinsertthehosenozzle,makesurethatthevalvehasbeenprimedbygivingthespringinthecentreaclockwise90ºturnensuringthespringitisatfulllength.Thisensuresapositivesealoncethechamberisinflated.Toconnectthepumphosesecurelytothevalve,twistthenozzletolockintoplace.Usingthefootpump,inflatethefrontchamberuntilabout1/2-3/4inflated.Repeatthisprocessforeachoftheothertwochambersontheboat.
3. Constructing Your FloorSlatted:Ifnotalreadyinplace,inserttheprovidedslatsintothestitchedpocketsontheinsideoftheboatfloorAirmat:Unfold&positionthefloorinthecorrectpositionandinflate.
4. Fit seatHooktheseatintothefabricstripsoneachsideoftheboat.
5. Fully inflate both sidesInsertpumppipeintothebowvalveagain,andfullyinflatethebowoftheboatskin.Repeatforbothsides.Makesurenottooverinflate.Putcapsontovalvesleavingvalvestobeintheclosedposition.Allthreecompartmentsofyourboatshouldnowbeinflated.
6. Assemble oarsClipthetwopartoarstogether.Unscrewtheoarmounts(rowlocks)ontheboat.Insertoarintorowlockpinandscrewthecapdown.
7. Final proceduresAffixtheoutboardbracket(WEC230RAXSonly)totherearoftheboat.Keepallaccessoriesawayinasafeplace.
WARNING: DO NOT USE A COMPRESSED AIR SOURCE TO INFLATE YOUR CRAFT. OVERINFLATION MAY CAUSE SEAMS AND/OR CHAMBERS TO RUPTURE.CAUTION:-Ensuretheassemblyareaiscleanandfreeofsharpobjects.-Checkinflationpressurebeforeeachuse-Checkthetightnessofthevalveregulary.

13. LOADING
ALL LOADS MUST BE EVENLY DISTRIBUTED WITHIN THE CRAFT. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY CAUSE CAPSIZING
1.Rocks,wrecks,sandbanksandshallowwatershouldbeavoidedorapproachedwithcaution.2.Ensurethattheseatisclearlymounted3.Ensureoarsaresecuredintotherowlock4.Donotuseoarsaslevers,doingsomaycausedamage5.Ensurenoobjectsarelooseduringoperationofyourcraft.6.Ifusinganoutboardengine,ensureyouhavereadtheinstructionsfullybeforeusewiththiscraft.
14. DOCKING
IF YOUR CRAFT REQUIRES TOWING, ENSURE ALL LOADS ARE REMOVED. PASSENGERS MUST NOT REMAIN ON BOARD.
1.Donotuseanoutboardenginewhenlandingonabeach.Donotpulltheboatoverrocks,shingles,sandortarredsurfaceswhichcancausedamagetotheboatfloor.2.Iftheboatmustbeleftonthebeachforashorttime,leavetheboatpartlyinwaterforcoolingandtoavoidtubeoverpressure.3.Iftheboatisleftinthesunforaprolongedamountoftime,itshouldbecoveredtopreventdamagefromtheUVrays.4.Donottowyourtenderbythemooringringatthefront.Towusingthetowingringsontheside.5.Towtheboatatamoderatespeed.6.Placethemooringoranchoringlinesonthefrontringifrequired.
AVOID LONG TERM STORAGE IN WATER. IN CASE OF MARINE GROWTH, BE CAUTIOUS WHEN REMOVING FROM THE MATERIAL, PARTICULARY BARNICLES
PUNCTUREWHILSTONWATERIfoneofthetubesbecomespucturedwhilstoutonthewater,moveloadstotheoppositesideto thedamaged tube.Attempt to limit the leakandmanouver carefully to shoreas soonaspossible.

15. MAINTENANCE
CLEANING1.Donotusewaxes,vinyloralcoholbasedcleaners,astheymaydamageordryoutthematerial.2.Spraydowntheboatandallaccessoriesaftereachuse.Allowtodrybeforepackingaway.
DISASSEMBLYNote:Carefullycleantheboatbeforerollingitup.Removesand,stonesandanyotherobjectsthatmayhavestuckontotheboat.1.Deflatetheboatbypressinginthevalvuebuttonandturnit90ºtolockopen.2.Removetheseat3.Removetheoarsandpackintothebag.4.Oncetheboatisdeflatedflat,foldthesidestowardstheinsideoftheboat.Thetubesshouldnowbetouching,butnotoverlapping.5.Foldtheendofthetubesintothetransom.6.Usethefootpumpindeflatemodetoremoveanyremainingairfromthetubes.7.Closethevalves.8.Startingfromtherear,rolltheboatupandplacewithinthecarryingvalise,alongwiththefootpump.
16. REPAIR
MINOR REPAIRShouldarepairneedtobecarriedouttoyourWavEcoBoat,firstlyassesstherepairasyoumaybeabletousetherepairkitincludedwithyourboatusingthefollowinginstructions:

WavEco alsohas a 1 yearwarrantyon thefittingswhich includes valves, seats, seat fittings,outboardbrackets,oarsandoarlocksfromdateofpurchase.
Thiswarrantydoesnot covernormalwear and tear, accidental damage,over-pressurisation,commercialuseincludingcharteruse,neglect,racing,orlackofmaintenance,fadingoroxidationorotherdamagecausedbyultra-violetradiationorsundamage,fuelandsolvents.Nordoesitcovertheuseorabuseofanyaccessorynotsoldbyuswiththeboat.
Claimsshallbemadeunderthiswarrantybydeliveringtheboatduringnormalworkinghoursforinspectionbytheplaceofpurchasewhowilltheneitherdotherepairsorarrangefortheinspectionandrepair,providedsuchserviceiscoveredunderthiswarranty.Thepurchasershallpayforthecostofanytransportrequired.Iftheserviceneededisnotcoveredbythiswarrantythe purchaser shall pay for all related labour, materials and any other associated expensesrequiredtofixtheproblem.AnyboatorpartsshippedtotheTraderoragentmustbeshippedwithfreightprepaid.
