Japanese WW2 issued steel shield as � elded in 1939 for Machine Gunners and also used by Arisaka ri# emen in defensive positions. Seen throughout the Paci� c cam-paign and in China/Manchuria. Several versions were developed, and these were primarily used by Type 96 and Type 99 machine gun-ners, but ri# emen also used them as was seen extensively throughout Guadalcanal. Shield has a carry-ing handle and adjustable stabil-ity brace. Very few have made it back to the U.S. a; er the war, but Sarco has had the shield reproduced from an original. ARTICULATED MACHINE GUN CRADLE / MOUNTLove this mount! It has a base to bolt onto a vehicle, bunker or ship,

wall or bulkhead. Torsion springs in the base provide strong adjustments for elevation or depression allowing for the cradle to lock at an angle or parallel to the ground. Cradle accepts .30 cal / .308 size machine guns and

comes with attaching pins along with a plate mounted to the right side that was used for mounting a searchlight if needed. It is relatively light compared to similar

equilibrator cradle mounts, but is made from steel and quite rugged. Le+ side has bracket for holding an ammo can tray. Would work well with Jeeps, armored vehicles and boats! From the base mount, it raises to about 12 inches high and with cradle attached, takes
