Plastic pollution and environmental protection of the oceans is in focus for this song. For a long time the name was Requiem to oceans but as Jimmy have found inspiration and new friends in the organization Nordic Ocean Watch he chose to honor them with the new title. Norwegian surfers started an Instagram account to inform people about the fatal changes they saw in the nordic coastal waters. Today their efforts have spread to include more social media platforms and sister organizations in Sweden and Finland. They organize beach-clean get togethers, seminars and education in schools about ocean pollution while also promoting a Ocean friendly lifestyle on social media using hashtags like #Tavaha (which means “Ta vare på havet = Take care of the ocean”). Jimmy hope that his ideas of large beach clean music festivals could come true someday.
