Mergers & AcquisitionsRoutes to Growth

The universe of binary, digits and code is one of rapid transformation. Computational processing doubles roughly every two years and organisations who fail to keep pace with changing technology, or consumer demand for new ways of working, risk becoming obsolete.

It is little wonder then, that technology sector players increasingly look to faster, non traditional ways of accessing the vital skills, infrastructure, and intellectual property that will keep their products one step ahead of the market.

Mergers and acquisitions are one such route of keeping pace. For conventional bricks and mortar organisations, the acquisition of visionary companies providing disruptive, market ready consumer technology is an efficient route to digitising their offering and meeting the ever evolving demands of an innovation hungry customer base.

New TechnologyMergers & acquisitions with technology providers gives organisations fast and financially efficient access to new consumer facing technology.

Answering the ChallengeStronger Together: The Byzen Digital Advantage

For companies with innovative digital or hardware products, consolidation with more substantial or capable organisations represents a giant leap on the challenging route to market. But simply merging or acquiring with new skills is not enough. The key to achieving a significant market capitalisation lies in the careful application of post deal integration to share acquired skills and applications across the group as it grows.

Expertise Network

With an experienced team of technology sector and funding specialists at the helm, Byzen Digital opens new routes to strategy, expertise and leadership to help start ups and SMEs overcome their early operational challenges. Byzen Digital’s management team enjoys excellent international relationships with venture capital sources and niche specific business leaders.

Resources

The Byzen Digital umbrella is a gateway to The Axiom Partnership, a dedicated provider of marketing, sales, legal and leadership resources for emerging technology disruptors. Axiom opens a wide reaching network of skills and capital through which to build new partnerships for collaborative development.

Structure

Operating under publicly listed status delivers access to institutional and blue chip funding streams typically not accessible to SMEs and start up ventures. For financial and medical technology companies operating in highly regulated environments, listed status drives radical efficiencies in regulatory licensing procedures.

Answering the ChallengeMarket Opportunities

For investors, the message is clear: Traditional markets are best left to institutional buyers working to 20th century trading strategies. For modern investors seeking to create high performance portfolios, the technology sector is a fruitful arena where intense speculation creates high market capitalisation, heavily weighted price/earnings ratios and opportunities to profit when companies undertake market defining deals.

For Byzen Digital’s target companies, consolidation with a publicly listed structure opens a rich seam of potential investment capital from a market with an enormous appetite to benefit from early engagement with new and innovative players.

Target AcquisitionsResearch, Deal & Integration

The technology sector is a broad umbrella covering a near infinite array of industries, sub sectors and secondary markets. As consumer interactions move into the digital realm, the sector’s definition has expanded to include organisations which have previously needed little engagement with cutting edge technology.

Target Maturity

Target companies will already have moved beyond risk prone start-up status and successfully completed research and development phases to emerge with a minimum viable product and excellent prospects of achieving rapid growth.

Product Innovation

Successful partner organisations will be in ownership of intellectual property or copyrights for innovative technology with the potential to disrupt or transform existing markets. Market Maturity

The management team seeks to identify organisations occupying viable positions within sectors poised for maturity through imminent widespread adoption. Potential targets will have proven the existence of significant consumer or business appetite for its product, as well as favorable conditions for mass adoption.

Organisational Integrity

Chosen targets will stand up to rigorous due diligence and in depth SWOT testing to demonstrate excellent operational track records. They will already have capable management teams and robust corporate structures in place.

Byzen Digital Culture

Crucially, organisations will be identified by their capacity to add value to the wider group through the deployment of skills, technology or infrastructure that may assist other Byzen Digital organisations in achieving operational goals.

Synergy BuildingAchieving Potential

The Byzen Digital vision is both ambitious and cohesive. It is not founded on the principle of gain for its own sake but in order to boost market capitalisation through the creation of a self sustaining ecosphere of visionary organisations with porous boundaries through which skills, infrastructure and ideas may freely flow for the benefit of all.

Skills

With an already well established skills base across technology and investment, Byzen Digital is ideally placed to begin supporting its partner ventures from the very outset. With the onboarding of each new acquisition comes a new wealth of additional talent. Integrating skills across the group through a culture of collaboration is a vital component of Byzen Digital’s post deal strategy.

Infrastructure

Byzen Digital’s early acquisition strategy, including an initial pipeline of potential targets beginningin 2019, focuses primarily on SME providers of core systems with the capacity to provide vital infrastructure to later acquisitions. Target industries at this stage include full stack application development, software as service, cloud solutions and data analytics.

Ideation

With the emergence of a self supporting technology and skills ecosphere, Byzen Digital is ideally placed to act as an incubator for less established companies in the pre funding and ideation stages. Engagement with global start up scenes can now play a role in sourcing opportunities as Byzen Digital develops its capacity to support fledgling ventures within the group structure.
