ABOUT US The American Institute of Management Science INC (DBA Colbourne College in Jamaica only) recruits students on masters, bachelors and diplomas programs which are delivered and awarded directly by our college and university partners. AIM Students access credentials that are highly recognized and regarded worldwide. As an International Centre for Pearson International, our students enter final year of leading Universities World-wide. For example, UK Universities admit students with the UK Level 5 Higher National Diploma onto Year 3 of a Three Year bachelor’s degree in similar discipline. AIM Students with the Level 7 Extended Diploma (PgD) enter final year of the master's degree in similar discipline. Pearson is UK’s largest vocational and university qualifications awarding and examination body. It offers academic and vocational qualifications and testing to schools, colleges, employers and other places of learning, both in the UK and internationally. Pearson BTEC qualifications are delivered at Universities and Further Education (FE) Colleges in the UK and over 100 countries worldwide.

Similar to Community College model of higher education in the United States, UK Higher

National Diplomas and Extended Diplomas are taught at Further Education Colleges in the UK

as affordable alternative before students advance to the upper/senior year of university.

DEGREE TOP-UP

The students pursue Bachelor’s Degree inclusive of the UK Level 5 Diploma and Master’s

Degree inclusive of the Level 7 Diploma. AIM-USA is an International Pearson Centre. The

Diplomas awarded are directly from Pearson Qualifications International, a division of Pearson

PLC, which also includes Pearson Education; Pearson Edexcel; Pearson VGU; and Pearson

College, London. The Degrees are awarded from major Universities and Colleges world-wide

which validate the Diploma onto final year to top-up to the degree.

In the United States, the BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma is assessed by A2Z

Evaluations LLC, at 65 Credits and recognized for transfer to a same-name degree. The Level

7 Extended Diploma was assessed as year one of the master’s degree in similar programs. A2Z

is an approved agency recognized by NACES and the US Department of States to evaluate

equivalence for qualifications obtained outside of the U.S for immigration and educational

purposes inside the United States.

Students from over 100 countries study for the Diploma as an affordable and expedited pathway

onto university degrees in the Caribbean, Canada, US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Dubai.

MODE OF STUDY

At AIM-USA, students anywhere in the world can study 100% Live Online, by Distant Learning

or In-Class in the United Kingdom, United States or Jamaica. Our Admission Office and

Administrative Centre is in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Teaching Campus and Live Classes are

taught at Colbourne College in Kingston at 6 Hillview Avenue, Kingston 10 (Half-Way Tree).

Face-To-Face Tutorials are in Montego-Bay, Nassau, and Castries.

BTEC (Business And Technician Education Council) was formed by the Secretary of State for Education and

Science, United Kingdom, in 1994. In 1996, the University Of London Examinations and Assessment Council and

BTEC merged to form Edexcel. In 2010, the name of Edexcel was legally changed to Pearson Education Limited

(Pearson). BTEC Diplomas are awarded by Pearson Education of Pearson PLC, Pearson College London and

Pearson Edexcel. Pearson Edexcel, also known as just Edexcel, is one of England, Wales and Northern Ireland's

seven (7) examination boards. BTECs are accredited by the UK government through the Office of Qualifications

and Examinations Regulations (Ofqual) and are accepted by almost all US & UK Universities for advanced

placement onto Final Year/s Of The Degree.
