INFORMATION ON SSA PRESENTATIONS AND UPLOAD The length of the presentation is strictly 10 min, followed by a maximally 5-min-long discussion. After the end of the 10 min period was signaled, additional 30 seconds are available for finishing the presentation without penalty in the final score. After 15 min, the discussion or the presentation must be finished. Presentations should optimally be submitted as Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 (or higher) slide-show (ppsx). MS PowerPoint 2007 pptx or MS PowerPoint XP/2003 pps or ppt are also accepted but not recommended. OpenOffice formats are NOT accepted. Presentations for the Conference must be uploaded until 23:59 on 10 February, 2019 to https://oetdk.unideb.hu/user/conference/presentation. The menu for uploading can only be viewed after logging in. Presentations CANNOT be uploaded during the conference. Expected resolution of the projector is minimally 1024x768 pixels, but in case of a technical problem the resolution might be lower. A laser pointer with remote controller will be provided. Movies in the presentation are not recommended. If you cannot avoid showing a movie, save the movie in WMV (Windows Media Video) format and then EMBED it into your presentation. Please note that this only works with PPSX or PPTX formats. The name of any uploaded file(s) should not be longer than 15 characters, it should not contain spaces and should contain only the lowercase letters of the English alphabet. It is recommended for all speakers, and a strong obligation for those who wish to show movies, to test their presentation and make sure that the slides appear correctly upon projection. Testing will be organized in Room 007 of the Division of Clinical Physiology on 11 February 2019 starting from 4 p.m. There will be no preview option during the conference. Unless you have technical problems with the presentation, NO changes can be made during this technical test. Presentations are evaluated by a review committee according to the following: Main topics to be evaluated Points 1. Abstract (information content, formal requirements) 0 – 5 2. Presentation of the results, quality of the presentation 0 – 10 3. Quality, clarity and adequate quantity of graphs 0 – 10 4. Discussion 0 – 5 Possible point reductions: speaking for mor than 10 min 30 seconds: -5 points 15-min-long presentation: no time for discussion, so 0 points are given for discussion lack of supplementary slide: NO points can be given at all Reviewers take special care to evaluate if the presented results are actually based on the student’s own work and ONLY the student’s own work will be scored. Therefore, a supplementary slide with the student’s own contribution (with distinction between the two if there are two authors) must be presented at the end of the talk and be visible during the discussion. Presentations lacking this supplementary slide detailing the student’s own work will not be evaluated and cannot be accepted as a thesis defence. Reviewers also decide if the presentation can be accepted as a defence of the thesis with excellent grade. Only those presentaions will be accepted where at least 2/3 of the committee is in favor of acceptance (at least 4 yes from the 5 reviewers). Registration for the OTDK (National Student Reseach Conference) The Council of Student Research will select presentations for participating at the National Conference in 2019. Promoted authors will be contacted later.

INFORMATION ON SSA PRESENTATIONS AND UPLOAD

Uploading presentations to the Students’ Scientific Association (SSA) conference

SSA presentations for the Conference organized between 13-15 February, 2019 must be uploaded until 23:59

hours of 10th of February, 2019 to the SSA website (https://oetdk.unideb.hu/user/conference/presentation). The

menu for upload can only be found after login (see below). Presentations CANNOT be uploaded during the

conference.

After opening the link above you must log in by clicking on LOGIN in the upper right corner to reach the page for file upload.

Clicking on the green icon you can choose the file to be uploaded.

Clicking on the blue icon you can check the uploaded file.

Clicking on the red icon you can delete the uploaded file.

In case you have multiple registration please take special care to make sure that you upload the proper file for each

registration.
