• WIL helps clients identify career goals, provides programs designed to achieve employment, and offers educational upgrading tools to develop employment options

Employment CounsellingEmployment Counselling• Alone or combined with any of our programs and

services, employment counselling provides you with valuable support in the employment planning and development process

• A personal, client-centred approach to discuss concerns, explore employment options and establish achievable employment goals

• Trained and experienced counsellors work with clients to make informed choices about future employment

An Employment Counsellor will:An Employment Counsellor will:• Meet with you to discuss your employment needs

• Work with you to develop a clear Employment Action Plan

• Discuss your employment and training options

• Aid you with document evaluation and translation

• Provide ongoing support, guidance, information and referrals to relevant community supports and training

• Work through and resolve any work-related issues

• Assist you with Second Career, Self Employment Benefit, and Libro Loan applications

• Meet with you to discuss your employment needs

• Work with you to develop a clear Employment Action Plan

• Discuss your employment and training options

• Aid you with document evaluation and translation

• Provide ongoing support, guidance, information and referrals to relevant community supports and training

• Work through and resolve any work-related issues

• Assist you with Second Career, Self Employment Benefit, and Libro Loan applications

Grade 12 Equivalency (GED Program)Grade 12 Equivalency (GED Program)• The General Educational Development (GED) testing

program allows adults who have not finished high school in Canada or outside of Canada to show that they have acquired the knowledge and skills associated with, and comparable to, high school completion.

• WIL offers several career planning tools/ career assessments to help confirm career choices or open doors to new opportunities

• Career Planning tools can help you:– Make informed career/training choices– Identify careers that may be a good fit for you– Move your career in an exciting new direction that you

might not have previously considered
