FUNCTIONAL SPECIALIZATION GROUPS
Infrastructure refers to all the physical facilities
and explicit services that form the integrated
backbone of the economy. The Infrastructure
setup shapes the overall development of the
nation.
The creation of world class infrastructure would
require massive investments in India. The
Economic Survey 2015-16 has laid out a
roadmap which features the government target
of investment of 376 Billion $ ( rupees 25 trillion )
in investment in the next 3 years . Mainly, these
funds are needed for creation of 27 industrial
clusters, revamping of Ports , Airports , Highways ,
Oil , Irrigation facilities, Warehouses and Roads.
Almost 29% of the Budgetary allocation has
been earmarked for Infrastructure development
to boost GDP and make the economy
competitive. A massive modernization plan has
been visualized with investments from World
Bank, ADB , AIIB at the forefront.
Such a massive outlay and ambitious capacity
building would require the appropriate skilled
and learned men. The MBA Infrastructural
program at UIAMS takes into consideration the
macro requirements of the economy coupling it
with the requisite management skills to prepare
students for the future. This would enable them
to take their rightful place in nation building.
