InfraGardConnect to Protect

InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and members of the private sector for the protection of

U.S. Critical Infrastructure. Through seamless collaboration, InfraGard connects owners and operators within critical infrastructure

to the FBI, to provide education, information sharing, networking, and workshops on emerging technologies and threats. InfraGard’s

vetted membership includes: business executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, security personnel, military and government officials, IT

professionals, academia and state and local law enforcement—all dedicated to contributing industry-specific insight and

advancing national security. Today there are approximately 50,000 members in 80+ local InfraGard Member Alliances (IMAs),

represented nationally by the InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA). Each IMA is connected to an FBI Field Office.

Thousands of members, one mission: securing infrastructure

Mission:The mission of the InfraGard Program is to foster collaboration and information sharing that enhances our collective abil i ty to address threats to the United States’ critical infrastructure through a robust private-sector/government partnership.

Goal:The over-arching goal of InfraGard is to promote ongoing dialogue and timely com-munication between members and the FBI. InfraGard members gain access to information enabling them to protect their assets and in turn, give information to the government in order to prevent and address terrorism, cyber threats, and other crimes.

Benefits:• FBI and DHS threat advisories, intelligence bulletins, analytical reports

and vulnerability assessments

• FBI and other government agency presentations to InfraGard chapters at member events

• Direct engagement with the FBI, other government agencies, and private sector experts at the local level

• Admittance to a members-only web portal providing access to the latest FBI intelligence as well as the opportunity to collaborate, share assessments and critical infrastructure protection information

• Opportunities to attend training events and briefings held by the FBI and its law enforcement partners

• Access to thousands of subject matter experts within critical infrastructure to share real time threat information as part of the sector chief program

• Invitations to regional and national InfraGard events

InfraGard Thousands of members, one mission: securing infrastructure

Through InfraGard the FBI maintains an active liaison with the INMA, along with leaders of the local IMAs. The INMA is uniquely positioned to act as a force multiplier for the FBI given its high visibility within the critical infrastructure/key resources (CIKR) community, along with the INMA’s cross-sector reach.

IMAs are incorporated as non-profit entities (501 (c)(3) organizations) and work with the FBI field offices to hold chapter meetings, host events, educate, and serve their communities. Each IMA has a local board of directors and/or officers to manage the local private sector activities and grassroot efforts. The IMAs are the ‘members’ of the INMA. Therefore, when applying to InfraGard, one is affiliated with their local IMA.

Membership Requirements:• U.S. citizen, 18 years or older• Affiliated with a critical infrastructure sector• Consent to and pass FBI security risk

assessment and periodic re-certifications• Notify the FBI of any pending criminal matters• Sign and adhere to a confidentiality

and non-disclosure agreement • Agree to adhere to InfraGard Code of

Ethics and Information Sharing Policies
