ECONOPURE"

Osmonics is committed to helping industrial, institutional and commercial customers worldwide ensure fluid purity in their products and processes. Founded in 1969, we pioneered the commercial development of reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration technologies. Since then, we have steadily expanded our ability to manufacture

k/F = OSIV

Reverse osmosis (RO), also called hyperfiltration, is capable of the highest filtration level possible, including separating dissolved salts and removing bacteria, pyrogens and organics from water. Osmonics manufactures all the major components of our RO equipment, making us uniquely able to provide complete, high-quality, standardized RO machines or custom-engineered systems for high-purity requirements. Cellulosic, polyamide and specialty polymer membranes are available in many varieties and configurations to meet a wide range of purification applications.

NANO-,L.4

Nanofiltration (NF) equipment from Osmonics removes particles in the 300-1000 molecular weight range, rejecting selected salts, most organics and passing more water at lower pressure operation than RO systems. Nanofiltration economically softens water without the pollution of salt-regenerated systems and provides unique organics desalting capabilities. All equipment features the same proven hardware and components used in Osmonics RO machines.

membranes, products and equipment to meet any fluid purification, separation or handling requirement.

Today, Osmonics offers a breadth of products and service that is among the widest available from one company in the filtration, purification and fluid handling industry.

!LT TRATION Osmonics designs and manufactures large and small ultrafiltration (UF) equipment in standard and custom configurations. Over 20 UF membranes produced by Osmonics provide filtration in the 0.0015 to 0.1 micron (1000 MW to colloidal) range. The feed fluid can be precisely fractionated, making UF ideal for fluid separations, industrial processes and as pretreatment or post-treatment for ultrapure water systems.

MICROFIL 1 ixf-trION Osmonics manufactures microfiltration (MF) membrane and equipment for demanding fluid separation and purification applications such as biotechnology and research. MF removes particles in the range of 0.05 micron to 2 microns in diameter. Solutions pass directly through the MF membrane in normal flow, or are separated into two effluent streams in a longer-lasting crossflow mode.

'OMATOGF Osmonics offers a range of chromatography equipment and resins. Chromatography enables the selective separation, concentration or purification of industrial and pharmaceutical compounds. A mixture of components is introduced into a column of suitable media which preferentially adsorbs the desired component. The target component is collected from the column via an elution rinse step that is closely monitored to ensure highest purity.

Osmonics manufactures mixed-bed, twin-bed, fixed-bed and point-of-use laboratory scale ion exchange (DI) equipment. Units can use resins supplied by any major manufacturer to meet specific applications. Regeneration is accomplished using either manual controls or automatic programmable logic controllers. All systems are delivered fully assembled, tested and ready for immediate operation.

DISTILLAi Osmonics offers FDA-validatable, pyrogen-free distillation and pure steam generation equipment, designed to GMP regulations and backed by more than 20 years of experience. Standard and custom single- and multi-effect designs are available for laboratories, hospitals, pharmaceutical (including WFI) and industrial applications. Fully automatic controls, a variety of storage tanks and steam or electric heating options are available. Equipment is available with tin-coated copper, stainless steel or titanium materials of construction.

OZONATION Ozone is emerging as the most efficient and ecologically sound oxidant to treat both organic and inorganic substances in air, water and wastewater. A wide variety of ozone equipment configurations and sizes is available for municipal, industrial process and laboratory applications, backed by more than 30 years of experience. Smaller units are self-contained, while larger units are skid mounted or assembled on-site.

LIQUID/L101) AND LIQUID -SCERS Osmonics manufactures a complete line of liquid/liquid coalescers capable of continuously separating mixtures of immiscible fluids, such as oil and water, with different specific gravities as low as 0.02. Osmonics liquid/gas coalescing and vapor adsorption equipment removes free entrained liquids, organic vapors and particles from air, compressed gas or steam lines. These units operate at a wide range of flow rates, and at separation efficiencies up to 99.999%, making them suitable for continuous process, batch or point-of-use applications.

.)USINGS Osmonics manufactures a complete range of housings for cartridge filters, bag filters and sepralators, made of polypropylene, PVC, steel or stainless steel, in both industrial and sanitary designs. The patented closure and end-cap design for sepralator housings reduces plumbing and change-out costs. Various sizes and adapters are available to accept most cartridge and bag filter designs. Osmonics has housings interchangeable with all UF, NF and RO housings in the crossflow filtration marketplace.
