Kaiserschmarrn with STAUD‘S stewed plums
A sweet classic
Separate and beat the egg white; it is best to add a pinch of salt before stirring. Whisk the egg yolk with the granulated sugar, then add the milk and flour. Stir with a whisk until you have a nice, smooth batter. Fold the beaten egg white into the batter and gently mix together.
Melt some butter in a pan and pour the mixture in. Add some raisins if you like. Let the Kaiserschmarrn stick at the bottom for a few minutes until it turns brown on the underside. Tear into pieces with a fork and turn so that it also cooks to a golden brown on the other side.
Scatter some powdered sugar over the pieces and mix so that the sugar caramelises.
If the Kaiserschmarrn is thoroughly cooked and no longer liquid in the middle, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve warm with STAUD‘S stewed plums.

STAUD‘S stewed plums
„Stewed plums“ are made in the compote range.
Besides our stewed plums, we also produce „Stewed
apricots“. For the stewed fruits, the fruits are boiled
without any added water in their own fruit juice,
whereas water is added to the compotes.
