Idea 1 – Chocolate Brownies – Girly/Pastel

• Theme – Dessert• Colour scheme – Pink, purple and blue.• Fonts –

• Audience:Young children, girls, teens.

Page 3: Initial ideas and feedback

Feedback 1What do you like about the idea?I like the font ‘sweetie pie’ because it is simple and cute. It is a girly font which matches her target audience and is something that they are likely to enjoy looking at. I also like her font choice ‘chocolate covered raindrops’ because it is a chocolate based recipe and this maintains consistency throughout all of the planning. What areas of the idea could be developed? The main area of improvement would be to add more detail to her initial planning ideas. Where Chloe has bullet pointed her key ideas she could write in sentences and explain why she made these decisions and how they will fit in with her recipe choices. What do you find interesting about the idea?I like that she has chosen to do a recipe based around chocolate and that it is targeted towards teens and girls. This is a very stereotypical approach that society has of girls loving chocolate and this is mostly true, making this a good product for female vegetarians who want to enjoy food whilst sticking to their beliefs/morals.

Feedback 2What do you like about the idea?I like that it is a simple idea that most people are likely to enjoy and be able to produce. Her colour scheme has been kept simple and basic but ties in with the recipe/product to create consistency and keep thinks professional and not looking over done or ‘child-like’.What areas of the idea could be developed?Chloe should improve her planning by adding more detail to her basic bullet points which she has already made. By explaining her choices in more detail this will help her to plan and create a successful product. What do you find interesting about the idea?

Feedback 3What do you like about the idea?I like that she has incorporated the colours of the food into the colour scheme of her recipe cards to create consistency and professionalism to the cards. I also like her choice of font because it is a wooden effect and this can also tie in with the colours she has chosen. What areas of the idea could be developed?Again, Chloe could improve her idea by adding more detail. She could also include more imagery to give a better visual representation of the product in which she is aiming to create. What do you find interesting about the idea?I like that this idea is ‘exotic’ and not something most people would choose to do. She has chosen to use ginger rather than chocolate and this adds differentiation.

Idea 4 – Vegan Basic Vanilla Cake - Angelic

• Theme: Dessert• Colour scheme – white, cream, silver, light

colours.• Fonts –

• Audience:Whole family, women,adults.

Feedback 4What do you like about the idea?I like that she has chosen a simple and sophisticated recipe that most people would be able to re-create easily and her colours tie in with the colours of the product. The font she has selected is fairly fancy and the flicky/fancy bits give the eye something attractive to look at.What areas of the idea could be developed?Chloe still needs to add more details and write more to advance her simple ideas and give more information about what she plans to do.What do you find interesting about the idea?

Idea 5 – Chocolate soufflés – Sultry, sentious

• Theme – Dessert• Colour scheme – Dark colours, reds, blacks,

dark purple.• Fonts –

• Audience:Women, young adults,adults.

Page 11: Initial ideas and feedback

Feedback 5What do you like about the idea?I like her font choices because they match the ‘sultry’ feeling she is going for with her ideas. Her colours also go and work well with this because the colours she has chosen for her colour scheme may be viewed by some people as being ‘sexual colours’.What areas of the idea could be developed?Chloe could write more and develop upon her basic ideas. She could also write about the print finishing technique she plans to use in order to give her planning a final touch and so she knows how she would like the final thing to look. What do you find interesting about the idea?I find it interesting that she has chosen the colours of red and purple which do not fit in with this product as you would initially think of browns and sometimes whites to associate with this product. By choosing these colours she has taken a simple recipe but added her own touch to it.

Summary of FeedbackWhat do you agree with from your feedback?I agree that my ideas are not as detailed as they could be. I should talk more about the audience and colour scheme, and why I have chosen those colours, etc. I could also say what printing technique I would like to use for my recipe cards.

What do you disagree with from your feedback?I do not disagree with any of my feedback. All of the feedback I have been given is helpful and has given a way for me to improve my work further.

Idea EvaluationWhich idea that you came up with is your favourite and why?The chocolate brownies because although they are simple to make, they are a classic and making the girly recipe cards will be fun and different.

Which idea, that your team came up with, is your favourite and why?The pancakes because they are simple, yet making them into the shapes of hearts to fit the theme is unique.
