Materials... • 1 rubber band around 6 cm in diameter. • 1 small container like a covered fi lm canister and 20 pennies.

Procedure... 4. Place the covered film canister with no pennies in the slingshot. 5. Shoot the slingshot by releasing the rubber band and record the

distance the projectile moves. 6. Repeat 4 and 5 over and over, but increase the mass of the

covered canister by one penny each trial.
