FISHING VESSELSABAS has long experience in serving the fishingfleet, and is a leading supplier of cranes tolongliners and trawlers. Five shrimp trawlers built atMyklebust Mek. Verksted, amongthem M/Tr Polaris, are equipped
with ABAS deck cranes.
The pearl vessel Paspaley Pearls,built at Flekkefjord Slipp &
Maskinfabrikk AS, is fitted withan ABAS knukleboom crane.
Two of the world’s largest longli-ners, built by Umoe Sterkoder,
are equipped with several ABAScranes. The picture shows one of
the longliners, Avro Chieftain.

OFFSHORE VESSELS
Well proven qualityAll the ABAS cranes have stainlesssteel rods in the hydraulic cylindersand bolts. In addition, the craneparts are always metalliced. Thesefactors contribute to the best protec-tion against corrosion.
Modern electrohydraulic aggre-gates and high pressure hydraulicsprovide excellent performance ofthe cranes.
ABAS cranes can be found on boardall kinds of offshore vessels, such asseismic and FPSOs, platform supplyvessels, anchor handling- and stand-by vessels etc.
As a successful supplier in thissegment, our ABAS cranes meet therequirements of all national andinternational authorities and classi-fications.
An advanced ABAS offshore craneand three other shipboard cranes
are delivered to the world’s lar-gest seismic vessel «Geco Eagle»,
built by Mjellem & Karlsen AS
ABAS Crane has delivered threecranes to the FPSO
«Chrystal Ocean». The ship wasbuilt at Kvaerner Govan Ltd.
Maersk Handler is equipped withone knuckle boom offshore crane.
The shipbuilder is Langsten Slip & Båtbyggeri.
MERCHANT VESSELSA wide range of merchant vessels are fittedwith both ABAS deck cranes and rescuecranes. Ro/Ro vessels, chemical tankers,container ships and gas tankers are someexamples.

A series of three container shipsfrom the Indian shipyard ABG are
equipped with ABAS cranes.
All the chemical tankers built atAukra Industrier AS for Anders
Utkilens Rederi AS, are fitted withvarious ABAS cranes. Combined
rescue- and provision cranes,hose handling cranes and deckcranes are some examples. Thedeliveries have required specialknow-how regarding EX-zones.
The Ro/Ro vessels «Serenaden»,«Heralden» and «Transgard» areeach equipped with two combined
rescue- and provision cranes. These vessels were built by
Umoe Sterkoder.
