Today we will move beyond breweries and bratwurst and rediscover the cultural contributions made by German immigrants to Chicago. Our step-on guides will take us through the earliest German settlement where community life centered around St. Michael’s Church. Next stop will be Dinkel’s Bakery that opened in 1922 and is now owned by the family’s fourth generation.
