Greetings fellow Mustang enthusiasts!! The 2010s have come and gone. We now start a new decade… the 2020s. Want to start the year with a good laugh?! In 1911 an English surgeon named Richard Clement Lucas predicted that our outer toes would become useless to the point our foot would become one big toe!! Another prediction, a 1957 Popular Mechan-ics article… If you're sick of asphalt roads and all the potholes that come with them, then you'll wish they were right about this prediction for the 21st century. Pony run to the Route 66 Museum - Ron & Carol Watkins

Saturday, December 21, approximately 18 riders saddled up and road down Route 66 through historic

Sapulpa to the Route 66 museum. Our mission, To deliver canned goods to the Salvaon Army, which will

be delivered to local families in need. Our reward, enjoying the museum with its rich display of memorabil-

ia and fascinang cars and hanging out with a group of cool car loving mustang owners. A=er about 90

minutes of exploring we moved the fun run to Pablo’s Mexican restaurant. We ate, visited and enjoyed

each other’s conversaon unl it was me to saddle up and ride into the a=ernoon.

One interesng note: Jonathan, our youngest member and winner of a one-year club membership joined

us at the museum and the restaurant. If he is an example of the next generaon of Mustang members the

future looks bright. (You may ask, How did Jonathan win a one-year club membership? By the hands free

roll of a chips-ahoy cookie down his face, and in to his mouth at our annual Christmas party.)

20 Surprising Things Everyone Forgets

About The Ford Mustang

#07 - Michigan Roots

Source: Hotcars.com

The blood in a Mustang runs red, white and blue. The US car was manufactured

in the Dearborn Assembly Plant in Michigan since its incepon all the way to

2004. Only two other plants existed to assemble Mustangs during those years,

albeit temporarily. These were in New Jersey and San Jose. But millions of

Mustangs rolled off the line in Dearborn, unl producon was moved to Flat

Rock, Michigan.

The plant wasn't inially built for cars, but for the war effort. The factory built

Eagle Boats, which were designed to run down submarines in World War I.

During the roaring 20s and Prohibion of the 30s, this same Dearborn plant

rolled out numerous Model As. In 1949, Ford took over the producon line,

which eventually gave birth to the Mustang.
