The Awards Banquet will feature a reception, luncheon, and program with awards presentation. Marking the end of the 2018 football season, UCLA Football coaches and staff will recognize and honor this year’s senior student-athletes, as well as awarding our deserving student-athletes. UPCOMING EVENT Dribble for the Cure – October 14, 2018 Last month, the eleventh annual Dribble for the Cure event was held at Drake Stadium on the UCLA Campus. Opening ceremonies were held at Drake before the start of the one-mile course. This event teamed up the UCLA Athletics Department and men’s and women’s basketball programs with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation and Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA to help raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. Members of both UCLA Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams joined Michael Price Family UCLA Head Basketball Coaches Steve Alford and Cori Close in the walk, assisting the boys and girls who dribbled their way around the one-mile course that wound around UCLA campus. Members of several UCLA teams were there to sign autographs, hand out snacks, and play games with participants. Jacob Borcorver is an Associate Director of Marketing and came to UCLA Athletics in June, 2015. Jacob leads UCLA Athletics’ efforts for student engagement and support. In this role, he works closely with The Den, the official UCLA student section, and serves as an advisor to The Den’s leadership group helping to further their support of all UCLA Intercollegiate Athletics teams and student-athletes. In addition, Jacob leads all marketing initiatives for Gymnastics and Swimming and Diving and assists with Men’s Basketball game production. What is your favorite college sport to follow? I love college basketball. Nothing beats March Madness! What is your favorite pro sport to follow? I am huge baseball fan. Hoping my Dodgers win a World Series soon! What is your favorite sport to play? Tennis has been my favorite sport to play since high school. I also just joined an adult kickball league which has been a blast. Since you began working at UCLA, what sport have you gotten to like that you never thought you would like? I have had the privilege of working with the Gymnastics team the past three seasons. The sport is incredible and the personality and energy from the team is amazing. If you have never been to a UCLA Gymnastics meet you need to go! What is your favorite kind of music? Country music….and Drake. Where would you like to travel to that you’ve never been to before? I have still never been to Hawai’i. I need to plan a trip ASAP! Cat person or dog person? Dogs! What was your high school mascot? Knights Unique fact about yourself? I have been in a blimp.

I also just joined an adult kickball league which has been a blast.Since you began working at UCLA, what sport have you gotten to like that you never thought you would like? I have had the privilege of working with the Gymnastics team the past three seasons. The sport is incredible and the personality and energy from the team is amazing.
