1 Installation Guide for Avid Editing Applications

The most current information about your Avid editor is available in the online version of the ReadMe. You should always check online for the most up-to-date release notes or ReadMe because the online version is updated whenever new information becomes available. To view these online versions, select ReadMe from the Help menu of your Avid editor, or visit the Knowledge Base at www.avid.com/readme.

Installing the Software

If you are updating from a previous release, you should uninstall the existing editing application. You should also uninstall Digi Drivers using Add/Remove from the Control Panel. Reboot the system and then install the new editing application. If you do not remove the Digi Drivers, the Audiosuite plug-ins do not load and you might receive either the error message “This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running” or a “DAE Interface NOT Available” error message. Avid recommends that you make sure you have installed Hot fix KB926255 from Windows Update to fix the problem.

c If you install licensed copies of your Avid editing application from a single ISO image, make sure that you deactivate your software prior to creating the ISO file. You must then activate your software on each system that requires an Avid editing license.

(Macintosh Only) If you are upgrading from a previous version of the Macintosh editing application, remove the Stereo Mixer.dpm and Surround Mixer.dpm plug-ins from the following location: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins. If you do not remove these files, you might experience problems with the AudioSuite Tool.

For all Avid editing applications, you must first log in as the Administrator (not just a user with administrator privileges), install the application, and initially launch the application as the Administrator. If you are working in a shared storage environment, mount your workspaces. You may then subsequently run the Avid editing application as a regular User.

(Windows) To install the Avid editing application software:

1. Quit all active applications.

2. Insert the editing application DVD.

3. Click to Install the Avid Editor Suite or Individual Product and follow the on screen instructions.

n If the FilesInUse dialog box appears, you can safely select Ignore and continue.

n Depending on Windows activity on your system, some Microsoft Windows Driver Warnings might be minimized into your task bar at installation time. If your installation is taking longer than 5-10 minutes, please check your task bar for an icon with the word SOFTWARE in it. Click the icon and you may safely select Continue Anyway to continue your installation.

4. When prompted, select “Yes, restart my computer.”

(Macintosh) To install the Avid Editing application software:

1. Quit all applications.

2. Insert the editing application DVD.

3. Click to Install the Avid Editor Suite or Individual Product and follow the on screen instructions.

4. When prompted, select “Yes, restart my computer.”

Avid Software Activation

After you install your software, you can activate your Avid editing application using one of several methods:

• You can use an Internet connection to activate your software automatically. Avid’s Activation tool allows you to activate your software online using the system identification number and serial number that came with your software.

• You can use an Internet connection to activate your application manually. If the system running your Avid editing application is not connected to the Internet, you can activate your software by using a different computer with an Internet connection.

• You can activate your software by upgrading from a dongle-based version to a software license. For more information, see “Upgrading the Software” on page 15.

• You can activate your software by upgrading from a previously installed software license version to a new software license. For more information, see “Upgrading the Software” on page 15.

Activating the Software

• You can activate your software over the telephone by calling Avid customer service. This option allows you to activate your editing application if your system configuration does not allow for access to the Internet.

• You can run your software for a 14-day trial period without activating it. The trial period allows you to access all functionality of your Avid editing application. At the end of the trial period, you can choose to purchase the software and activate it at that time.

• You can activate your software using the Avid License Service if you have installed the service on a supported server.

n If you have an active Avid Assurance support contract, you might have the option to upgrade your software with an existing application key (dongle). See the instructions that came with your upgrade for more information.

c If you change your system configuration — for example, by replacing your hard drive or by upgrading your operating system — you must first deactivate your Avid software. For information on deactivation, see “Deactivating the Software” on page 20.


After you install the software for your Avid editing application, you must activate your copy of the application.

The Avid Activation tool launches the first time you start your editing application. If you are using the 14-day trial version of your application, the Activation tool launches when you start your editing application until the 14-day trial period expires.

c Activation uses the hardware address from a Network Interface Controller (NIC) in the system, so it is important not to change your Ethernet configuration once you have activated your software. If you need to disable one or more NICs on your system, you must do this before activation. If you install your software on a laptop that automatically disables your NIC — for example, when you move between Ethernet and wireless Internet connections — consult the documentation for your computer for instructions on how to change your system’s NIC settings before you activate your Avid software.

n If you deactivate your application during the 14-day trial, the trial period continues to run and you cannot extend your trial beyond the 14-day limit.

If you purchase your software online from Avid’s Web store, you must enter your authorization key online to receive the serial number for your editing application.

If you are upgrading software that originally came with an application key, also called a “dongle,” you must attach the key before activating your software with Avid’s Activation tool (for more information, see “Connecting the Application Key” in the Help). When you upgrade your editing application from a dongle-based version to a non-dongle version, the Activation tool automatically deactivates your dongle when it registers your copy of the software. For information on upgrading from a dongle-based editing application to a software license, see “Upgrading the Software” on page 15.

To activate your Avid editing application automatically:

1. Start your Avid editing application.

The Activation tool opens.

2. Select “I want to activate my software using this computer’s Internet connection.”

3. Click Continue.

The Avid Activation dialog box opens.

4. Enter your system identification number in the System ID text box. Your system identification number is located on the inside cover of this guide. If you purchased your Avid software online, you received your system identification number from Avid by e-mail.

n You can copy and paste your system identification number and your serial number from a text file to the appropriate text boxes.

5. Enter your serial number in the Serial Number text box. Your serial number is located on the inside cover of this guide. If you purchased your Avid software online, you received your serial number from Avid by e-mail.

6. If you want to review Avid’s privacy policy, click Read Privacy Policy.

7. Do one of the following:

t Select “Register your product with Avid Technology, Inc. now,” and then click Next.

A registration dialog box opens. Avid’s online registration allows you to receive important updates and maintenance information.

t Select “Don’t register at this time,” and then click Activate.

The Activation tool confirms your system information. When the activation is complete, a message informs you that your software has been successfully activated.

n If you do not want to register your software now, you can register at any time by selecting Special > Register in the editing application.

8. If you choose to register your software, do the following:

a. In the Register dialog box, type your name, address, and contact information in the appropriate text boxes. Asterisks (*) indicate required fields.

b. Click Next

A registration dialog box opens.

c. Enter the appropriate product and customer information. Asterisks (*) indicate required fields.

d. Click Activate and Register.


9. Click OK.

To activate your Avid editing application manually:



2. Select “I want to activate by phone or by using another computer’s Internet connection.”

The Avid Activation dialog box opens.

4. Enter your system identification number in the System ID text box. Your system identification number is located on the inside cover of this guide.

n You can copy and paste your system identification number and your serial number from a text file to the appropriate text boxes.


6. If you are activating your software over the telephone, call your local Avid Support Center. Avid Support Center contact information is available online at http://www.avid.com/us/support/video.

Your Avid representative provides an activation code for your software. Once you have your activation code, proceed to step 12.

7. If you are using another computer to activate your software, on the second computer open a Web browser and navigate to http://activate.avid.com.

The Avid Activation page opens.

8. Enter your machine identification number in the Avid Machine ID text box. Your Avid Machine ID number is located on the Avid Activation dialog box.



11. Click Submit.

The Avid Activation page generates your activation code.

12. Transfer the Activation Code to the system you want to activate. You can copy the code to a text file and use a removable storage device such as a USB drive, or you can transfer the data over your network.

13. In the Avid Activation dialog box, enter the activation code in the Activation Code text box. Copying the entire Activation Code you received from the Avid Activation page from a text file and pasting into the first text box automatically fills the rest of the text boxes.

14. Click Activate.


15. Click OK.

Upgrading the Software

To use your Avid editing application for a 14-day trial period:



2. Select “I want to run a fully-featured, trial version of [the Avid editing application] for 14 days.”

3. Click Continue.

A message informs you that your software has been successfully activated. At any time during the 14-day trial period, you can choose to purchase a copy of your Avid editing application and use the Activation tool to activate it. If you choose not to purchase the software, your application is deactivated when the 14-day trial expires.

To activate your Avid editing application using the Avid License Service:



2. Select “I want to activate using my company’s Avid License Service.”

3. Click Continue.

The application searches for an available Avid License Service, based on either your workgroup properties (for systems within an Interplay environment) or on the default AvidWorkgroup (for non-Interplay configurations). If the application cannot find an available license service, a dialog box prompts you for the hostname of the server where you installed the Avid License Service. Type the server name and click Activate.


4. Click OK.


You can upgrade your Avid editing application from either an existing software license or a dongle license. If you upgrade from a dongle license and are changing product models, then your upgrade kit includes a dongle updater card, upgrade code, and software activation code. Please see the instructions in your upgrade kit to update your software.

n Upgrading your dongle license to a software license updates your dongle information and disables your dongle. Once you have activated your software license, you do not need the dongle to run your Avid editing application.

If you have an upgrade for a major release and you upgrade from an existing software license, you must first deactivate your current license. If you do not, a message prompts you to deactivate the old license before activating the new software license.

n If the upgrade is for a maintenance release (available to qualified support contract customers), you do not have to deactivate your current license.

If you upgrade your existing dongle license and you have an active Avid Assurance support contract, please read the instructions that came with your upgrade before updating your system.

To upgrade your Avid editing application automatically from an existing software license:




3. Click Continue.

The Avid Activation dialog box opens. The System ID text box contains your existing system ID number.

4. Enter your serial number in the Serial Number text box. Use the serial number for your new version of your software.


t Select “Register your product with Avid Technology, Inc. now.” If you want to review Avid’s privacy policy, click Read Privacy Policy. Then click Next.

6. If you chose to register your software in step 5, do the following:


b. Click Next.





7. Click OK.

To upgrade your Avid editing application automatically from a dongle license:

1. Make sure you have attached your dongle to your Avid editing system.




4. Click Continue.

The Avid Activation dialog box opens, and lists the System ID from the dongle in the System ID text box.



t Select “Register your product with Avid Technology, Inc. now.” If you want to review Avid’s privacy policy, click Read Privacy Policy. Then click Next.

7. If you chose to register your software in step 6, do the following:

To upgrade your Avid editing application manually to a software license:



2. Select “I want to activate by phone or by using another computer’s Internet connection.”

The Avid Activation dialog box opens, and lists the System ID from the dongle in the System ID text box.


5. If you are activating your software over the telephone, call your local Avid Support Center. Avid Support Center contact information is available online at http://www.avid.com/us/support/video.

Your Avid representative will provide an activation code for your software. Once you have your activation code, proceed to step 12.

6. If you are using another compute to activate your software, on the second computer open a Web browser and navigate to http://activate.avid.com.

The Avid Activation page opens.

7. Enter your machine identification number in the Avid Machine ID text box. Your Avid Machine ID number is located on the Avid Activation dialog box.



10. Click Submit.

The Avid Activation page generates your activation code, and opens a page that asks for a confirmation code. Do not close the confirmation code page.

11. Transfer the Activation Code to the system you want to activate. You can copy the code to a text file and use a removable storage device such as a USB drive, or you can transfer the data over your network.

12. In the Avid Activation dialog box, enter the activation code in the Activation Code text box. Copying the entire Activation Code you received from the Avid Activation page from a text file and pasting into the first text box automatically fills the rest of the text boxes.

13. Click Activate.

14. Click OK.

A confirmation code is displayed.

15. On the computer connected to the Internet, enter the confirmation code, and click OK.

n If the Confirmation Code text box is not visible, click “Click here to enter your dongle confirmation code.”

Deactivating the Software

If you want to run your Avid editing application on another system, you first must deactivate your software license before you can activate it on a second system. Deactivation occurs while the application is running, but the deactivation process automatically saves all open bins and the current project.

If your system has an Internet connection, you can reactivate your Avid editing application automatically. Otherwise, you must reactivate your software license manually by telephone or by using another computer’s connection to the Internet. For more information on activating your software, see “Activating the Software” on page 9.

If your system uses the Avid License Service to authorize your software license, you need to disconnect your system from the license service in order to deactivate it. Unlike deactivation, disconnection not only deactivates your license but also returns it to the license pool maintained by the license server.

Deactivating the Software

To deactivate your Avid editing application:

1. Start your Avid editing application, and then open a project.

2. Select Special > Deactivate.

The Deactivate dialog box opens.


t If you plan to use your Avid editing application on this system at a later time, deselect the option to clear the system ID and serial number information (the option is deselected by default). This preserves the local license information so you can easily reactivate your license.

t If you do not plan to use your system again — for example, if you plan to retire the computer — select the option to delete the system ID and serial number information. This removes the local license information from your system and prevents other users from activating your license.

4. Click Deactivate.

When the deactivation is complete, a message informs you that your software license has been successfully deactivated.

5. Click OK.

The application saves all open bins and the current project, and then quits.

To disconnect your Avid editing application from the Avid License Service and deactivate it:

1. Start your Avid editing application, and then open a project.

2. Select Special > Disconnect from Avid License Service.

The dialog box opens, warning you that disconnecting from the license service deactivates your license and releases it to the server.

3. Click Continue.

The application saves all open bins and the current project, deactivates your license, and then quits.

Installation du logiciel

Redémarrez le système puis installez la nouvelle application de montage. Si vous ne supprimez pas les pilotes Digidesign, le chargement des modules AudioSuite n’aura pas lieu et vous risquez de recevoir le message d’erreur “This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running” (Ce logiciel nécessite l’installation du pilote de dispositifs TPkd et un redémarrage avant exécution) ou “DAE Interface NOT Available” (Interface DAE NON disponible). Avid vous recommande d’installer le hot fix KB926255 de Windows Update pour résoudre le problème.

c Si vous installez des copies sous licence de votre application de montage Avid à partir d’une image ISO, veillez à désactiver votre logiciel avant de créer le fichier ISO. Vous devez ensuite activer votre logiciel sur chaque système nécessitant une licence de montage Avid.

(Macintosh uniquement) Si vous effectuez une mise à niveau à partir d’une version précédente de l’application de montage Macintosh, supprimez les modules Stereo Mixer.dpm et Surround Mixer.dpm des emplacements suivants : Macintosh HD/Bibliothèque/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-ins. Pour toutes les applications de montage Avid, vous devez vous connecter en tant qu’administrateur (pas juste en tant qu’utilisateur possédant des droits d’administrateur), installer l’application, puis lancer l’application en tant qu’administrateur. (Windows) Pour installer le logiciel de l’application de montage Avid :

1. Quittez toutes les applications en cours d’exécution.

2. Insérez le DVD de l’application de montage.

3. Indiquez si vous souhaitez installer la suite Avid Editor ou un produit unique en sélectionnant l’option appropriée et suivez les instructions qui s’affichent à l’écran.

n Si la boîte de dialogue FilesInUse (Fichiers en cours d’utilisation) s’ouvre, sélectionnez Ignore (Ignorer) et continuez.

n En fonction de l’activité de Windows sur votre système, certains messages d’alerte de pilote Microsoft Windows peuvent être minimisés dans la barre des tâches pendant l’installation. Si l’installation se prolonge au-delà de 5 à 10 minutes, repérez dans la barre des tâches l’icône contenant le terme SOFTWARE (Logiciel). Cliquez sur l’icône et sélectionnez Continue Anyway (Continuer quand même) pour poursuivre l’installation.

4. À l’invite, sélectionnez “Yes, restart my computer” (Oui, redémarrer l’ordinateur).

(Macintosh) Pour installer le logiciel de l’application de montage Avid :

Une fois le logiciel installé, plusieurs méthodes d’activation de l’application de montage Avid s’offrent à vous.

• Vous pouvez utiliser une connexion Internet pour activer le logiciel automatiquement. L’outil Activation d’Avid permet d’activer le logiciel en ligne à l’aide des numéros d’identification et de série du système fournis avec le logiciel.

• Vous pouvez également utiliser une connexion Internet pour activer l’application manuellement. Si le système sur lequel s’exécute votre application de montage Avid n’est pas connecté à Internet, vous pouvez activer le logiciel en utilisant un autre ordinateur disposant d’une connexion Internet.

• Vous pouvez activer le logiciel en procédant à une mise à niveau d’une version basée sur une clé électronique (dongle) vers une licence logicielle. Pour plus d’informations, voir “Mise à niveau du logiciel” page 33.

• Vous pouvez activer le logiciel en procédant à une mise à niveau à partir d’une version précédemment installée vers une licence logicielle. Pour plus d’informations, voir “Mise à niveau du logiciel” page 33.

• Vous pouvez activer le logiciel par téléphone en appelant le service clientèle Avid. Cette option vous permet d’activer l’application si la configuration de votre système ne permet pas l’accès à Internet.

• Vous pouvez utiliser le logiciel pendant une période d’essai de 14 jours sans l’activer. Durant cette période, vous pourrez accéder à toutes les fonctionnalités de l’application de montage Avid. Ensuite, vous pourrez choisir d’acheter le logiciel et l’activer à ce moment.

• Vous pouvez activer votre logiciel à l’aide du service de licence Avid si vous avez installé ce dernier sur un serveur pris en charge.

n Si vous avez un contrat de service Avid Assurance actif, il se peut que vous disposiez de l’option de mettre votre logiciel à niveau avec une clé électronique (dongle) existante. Reportez-vous aux instructions fournies avec votre mise à niveau pour obtenir des informations supplémentaires.

c Si vous modifiez la configuration de votre système (par exemple, remplacement de votre disque dur ou mise à niveau de votre système d’exploitation), vous devez désactiver votre logiciel Avid au préalable. Pour plus d’informations sur la désactivation, voir “Désactivation du logiciel” page 38.

Activation du logiciel

Après avoir installé le logiciel de l’application de montage Avid, vous devez activer votre exemplaire de l’application.

L’outil Activation d’Avid s’ouvre à la première exécution de l’application de montage. Si vous utilisez la version d’essai de l’application, l’outil d’activation s’exécute chaque fois que vous démarrez l’application de montage et jusqu’à expiration de la période d’essai de 14 jours.

c Cet outil utilise l’adresse matérielle d’un contrôleur NIC (Network Interface Controller) du système, il est donc important de ne pas modifier la configuration Ethernet une fois le logiciel activé. Si vous devez désactiver un ou plusieurs contrôleurs NIC sur le système, vous devez le faire avant d’activer le logiciel. Si vous installez votre logiciel sur un ordinateur portable qui désactive automatiquement votre contrôleur NIC (par exemple, lorsque vous passez d’une connexion Ethernet à une connexion Internet sans fil), consultez la documentation de votre ordinateur afin d’obtenir des instructions pour savoir comment modifier les paramètres NIC avant d’activer votre logiciel Avid.

n Si vous désactivez votre application au cours de la période d’essai de 14 jours, celle-ci se poursuit normalement. Vous ne pourrez pas prolonger la période d’essai au-delà de la limite de 14 jours.

Si vous achetez votre logiciel dans la boutique en ligne d’Avid, vous devez saisir votre clé d’autorisation en ligne pour obtenir le numéro de série de votre application de montage.

Si vous procédez à la mise à niveau d’un logiciel fourni à l’origine avec une clé électronique ou “dongle”, vous devez connecter la clé avant d’activer le logiciel à l’aide de l’outil Activation d’Avid (pour plus d’informations, voir la section Connexion de la clé électronique dans l’Aide). Lorsque vous mettez à niveau l’application de montage d’une version basée sur une clé électronique vers une version standard, l’outil d’activation désactive automatiquement la clé lors de l’enregistrement de votre exemplaire du logiciel. Vous pouvez effectuer une mise à niveau de votre application de montage Avid à partir d’une licence logicielle existante ou d’une licence basée sur clé électronique. Si vous effectuez une mise à niveau à partir d’une licence basée sur clé électronique et que vous changez de modèle de produit, votre kit de mise à niveau inclut une carte de mise à jour de clé de licence, un code de mise à niveau et un code d’activation de logiciel. Reportez-vous aux instructions fournies dans le kit de mise à niveau pour mettre votre logiciel à jour.

n La mise à niveau de votre licence basée sur clé électronique vers une licence logicielle entraîne une mise à jour des informations de la clé électronique et désactive cette dernière. Une fois la licence logicielle activée, vous n’aurez plus besoin de la clé de licence pour exécuter votre application de montage Avid.

n Si la mise à niveau s’effectue vers une version de maintenance (disponible pour les clients disposant d’un contrat d’assistance qualifié), il n’est pas nécessaire de désactiver votre licence actuelle.

Si vous effectuez une mise à niveau de votre licence basée sur clé électronique et que vous disposez d’un contrat d’assistance Avid Assurance actif, veuillez lire les instructions fournies avec votre mise à niveau avant d’effectuer la mise à jour de votre système.

Désactivation du logiciel

Si vous souhaitez exécuter l’application de montage Avid sur un autre système, vous devez commencer par désactiver la licence du logiciel pour pouvoir l’activer sur un autre système. La désactivation s’effectue pendant l’exécution de l’application, mais le processus de désactivation enregistre automatiquement tous les chutiers ouverts et le projet en cours.

Si votre système est connecté à Internet, vous pouvez réactiver l’application de montage Avid automatiquement. Dans le cas contraire, vous devez réactiver la licence du logiciel manuellement par téléphone ou en utilisant la connexion Internet d’un autre ordinateur. Pour plus d’informations sur l’activation du logiciel, voir “Activation du logiciel” page 26.

Si votre système utilise le service de licence Avid pour autoriser votre licence logicielle, vous devez déconnecter votre système du service de licence afin de la désactiver. A la différence de la désactivation, la déconnexion désactive votre licence et la renvoie dans le pool de licences dont la maintenance est assurée par le serveur de licence.

Pour désactiver l’application de montage Avid :

1. Démarrez l’application de montage Avid, puis ouvrez un projet.

2. Sélectionnez Special (Spécial) > Deactivate (Désactiver).

t Si vous avez l’intention d’utiliser l’application de montage Avid ultérieurement sur ce système, désélectionnez l’option de suppression des informations d’identifiant système et de numéro de série (cette option est activée par défaut). Les informations de licence locales sont conservées de façon à vous permettre de réactiver facilement votre licence.

t Si vous n’avez pas l’intention de réutiliser le système (si vous prévoyez de remplacer l’ordinateur, par exemple), sélectionnez l’option de suppression des informations d’identifiant système et de numéro de série. Les informations de licence locales sont supprimées du système, ce qui empêche les autres utilisateurs d’activer votre licence.

4. Cliquez sur Deactivate (Désactiver).

Une fois la désactivation terminée, un message vous informe que la désactivation de la licence du logiciel a bien été effectuée.

5. Cliquez sur OK.

L’application enregistre tous les chutiers ainsi que le projet en cours avant de se fermer.

Pour déconnecter votre application de montage Avide du service de licence Avid et la désactiver :

1. Démarrez l’application de montage Avid, puis ouvrez un projet.

2. Sélectionnez Special (Spécial) > Disconnect from Avid License Service (Déconnecter du service de licence Avid).

Une boîte de dialogue s’ouvre, vous avertissant qu’une déconnexion du service de licence désactive la licence et la retourne au serveur.


L’application enregistre tous les chutiers ainsi que le projet en cours, désactive votre licence, puis se ferme.

Installieren der Software

Wenn Sie eine Aktualisierung von einer früheren Version durchführen, empfiehlt es sich, die bestehende Anwendung zu deinstallieren. Auch die Digi-Treiber sollten in diesem Fall über die Systemsteuerung mit der Option "Ändern/Entfernen" deinstalliert werden. Starten Sie das System neu, und installieren Sie daraufhin die neue Avid-Anwendung. Wenn Sie die Digi-Treiber nicht entfernen, können die AudioSuite-Plug-Ins nicht geladen werden. Sie erhalten möglicherweise die Fehlermeldung „This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running“ (Diese Software erfordert die Installation des Gerätetreibers TPkd und einen Neustart, um ausgeführt werden zu können) oder „DAE Interface NOT Available“ (DAE-Schnittstelle NICHT verfügbar). Nach der Installation der Software haben Sie folgende Möglichkeiten, um Ihre Avid-Anwendung zu aktivieren:

• Sie können die Software über eine Internetverbindung automatisch aktivieren. Mit dem Aktivierungs-Tool von Avid wird die Aktivierung der Software mithilfe der Systemidentifizierungsnummer und der Seriennummer online durchgeführt.

• Sie können die Software über eine Internetverbindung manuell aktivieren. Wenn das System, auf dem die Avid-Anwendung ausgeführt wird, keine Verbindung mit dem Internet hergestellt hat, können Sie die Software mit einem anderen Computer mit Internetverbindung aktivieren.

• Sie können die Software aktivieren, indem Sie von einer Dongle-basierten Version auf eine Softwarelizenz aktualisieren. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter „Aktualisieren der Software“ auf Seite 51.

• Sie können die Software aktivieren, indem Sie von einer zuvor installierten lizenzierten Version auf eine neue Softwarelizenz aktualisieren. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter „Aktualisieren der Software“ auf Seite 51.

• Sie können die Software über einen Telefonanruf beim Avid-Kundenservice aktivieren. Diese Option ermöglicht es Ihnen, die Anwendung zu aktivieren, wenn aufgrund Ihrer Systemkonfiguration kein Internetzugang möglich ist.

• Sie können die Software 14 Tage lang als Testversion ausführen, ohne Sie dazu aktivieren zu müssen. Aktivieren der Software

Nach der Installation der Software der Avid-Anwendung müssen Sie Ihre Kopie der Anwendung aktivieren.

Das Avid Aktivierungs-Tool wird beim ersten Ausführen der Anwendung gestartet. Wenn Sie mit der 14-tägigen Testversion der Anwendung arbeiten, wird das Aktivierungs-Tool mit jedem Start der Anwendung geöffnet, bis der 14-tägige Testzeitraum abgelaufen ist.

c Zur Aktivierung wird die Hardwareadresse eines Network Interface Controllers (NIC) im System verwendet. Aus diesem Grund ist es wichtig, die Ethernet-Konfiguration nicht zu verändern, nachdem Sie die Aktivierung durchgeführt haben. Falls Sie eines oder mehrere NICs auf dem System deaktivieren müssen, sollten Sie dies vor der Aktivierung tun. Wenn Sie die Software auf einem Laptop installieren, der den NIC automatisch deaktiviert (z. Sie können entweder eine bestehende Softwarelizenz oder eine Dongle-Lizenz für das Upgrade der Avid-Anwendung verwenden. Wenn Sie eine Dongle-Lizenz verwenden und das Produktmodell wechseln, sind im Lieferumfang für das Upgrade eine Aktualisierungskarte für den Dongle, ein Upgrade-Code und ein Softwareaktivierungscode enthalten. Anweisungen für die Aktualisierung der Software finden Sie ebenfalls im Lieferumfang für das Upgrade.

n Beim Upgrade der Dongle-Lizenz auf eine Softwarelizenz werden die Dongle-Informationen aktualisiert und der Dongle wird deaktiviert. Nachdem Sie die Softwarelizenz aktiviert haben, benötigen Sie den Dongle nicht mehr für die Ausführung der Avid-Anwendung.

Die Deaktivierung geschieht bei laufender Anwendung. Während des Deaktivierungsprozesses werden jedoch automatisch alle geöffneten Bins und das aktuelle Projekt gespeichert.

Falls Ihr System über eine Verbindung zum Internet verfügt, können Sie die Avid-Anwendung automatisch erneut aktivieren. Andernfalls müssen Sie die Softwarelizenz manuell per Telefon oder über die Internetverbindung eines anderen Computers erneut aktivieren. Weitere Informationen zum Aktivieren der Software finden Sie unter „Aktivieren der Software“ auf Seite 44.

Wenn Ihr System den Avid-Lizenzservice für die Autorisierung der Softwarelizenz nutzt, müssen Sie die Verbindung zwischen dem System und dem Lizenzservice trennen, um die Lizenz zu deaktivieren. Im Gegensatz zur normalen Deaktivierung wird bei diesem Vorgang zusätzlich die Lizenz an den vom Lizenzserver verwalteten Lizenzpool zurückgegeben.

Per tutte le applicazioni di montaggio Avid è necessario innanzitutto effettuare l’accesso come amministratore (non come utente con privilegi di amministratore), installare l’applicazione ed eseguire il primo avvio come amministratore. Se si sta lavorando in un ambiente di archiviazione condiviso, montare le aree di lavoro. Sarà quindi possibile eseguire l’applicazione di montaggio Avid accedendo come utente normale.

(Windows) Per installare il software dell’applicazione di montaggio Avid eseguire le operazioni seguenti:

1. Chiudere tutte le applicazioni attive.

2. Inserire il DVD dell’applicazione di montaggio.

3. Fare clic su “Install the Avid Editor Suite or Individual Product” (Installa la famiglia di applicazioni di montaggio o un singolo prodotto Avid) e seguire le istruzioni visualizzate.

n Se viene visualizzata la finestra di dialogo “FilesInUse” (File in uso), è possibile selezionare “Ignore” (Ignora) e continuare.

n A seconda dell’attività di Windows sul sistema in uso, è possibile che durante l’installazione alcuni messaggi di avviso relativi ai driver di Microsoft Windows vengano ridotti a icona sulla barra delle attività. Se l’installazione richiede più di 5-10 minuti, verificare la presenza di un’icona contenente la parola SOFTWARE sulla barra delle attività. Fare clic sull’icona e selezionare Continua per proseguire l’installazione.

4. Quando verrà richiesto, fare clic su “Yes, restart my computer” (Sì, riavvia il computer).

(Macintosh) Per installare il software dell’applicazione di montaggio Avid eseguire le operazioni seguenti:

1. Chiudere tutte le applicazioni.

2. Inserire il DVD dell’applicazione di montaggio.

Dopo aver installato il software, è possibile attivare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid utilizzando uno dei metodi seguenti:

• Attivazione automatica del software tramite una connessione Internet. Lo strumento di attivazione di Avid consente di eseguire l’attivazione del software in linea utilizzando il numero di identificazione del sistema e il numero di serie forniti con il software.

• Attivazione manuale del software tramite una connessione Internet. Se il sistema sul quale è in esecuzione l’applicazione di montaggio Avid non è connesso a Internet, è comunque possibile attivare il software utilizzando un altro computer provvisto di connessione Internet.

• Attivazione tramite aggiornamento da una versione basata su chiave hardware a una con licenza software. Per ulteriori informazioni consultare la sezione “Aggiornamento del software” a pagina 69.

• Attivazione tramite aggiornamento da una versione con licenza software precedentemente installata a una nuova licenza software. Per ulteriori informazioni consultare la sezione “Aggiornamento del software” a pagina 69.

• Attivazione tramite telefono contattando il servizio clienti Avid. Questa opzione consente di attivare l’applicazione di montaggio laddove non sia possibile accedere a Internet a causa della configurazione del sistema in uso.

• Esecuzione del software per un periodo di valutazione di 14 giorni senza attivazione. Durante il periodo di valutazione è possibile accedere a tutte le funzionalità dell’applicazione di montaggio Avid. Allo scadere dei 14 giorni è possibile scegliere di acquistare e attivare contestualmente il software.

• Se si è installato il servizio in un server supportato, è possibile attivare il software utilizzando il servizio di licenza Avid.

n Se si dispone di un contratto di supporto Avid Assurance attivo, potrebbe essere disponibile l’opzione di aggiornamento del software con una chiave hardware (dongle) esistente. Per ulteriori informazioni vedere le istruzioni fornite con l’aggiornamento.

c Se si desidera modificare la configurazione del sistema (ad esempio, sostituire il disco rigido o aggiornare il sistema operativo), è necessario prima disattivare il software Avid. Per ulteriori informazioni sulla disattivazione vedere “Disattivazione del software” a pagina 74.

Attivazione del software

Dopo aver installato il software dell’applicazione di montaggio Avid è necessario eseguirne l’attivazione.

Lo strumento di attivazione Avid verrà avviato al primo avvio dell’applicazione di montaggio. Se si sta utilizzando la versione di valutazione valida per 14 giorni, lo strumento di attivazione verrà avviato ad ogni avvio dell’applicazione di montaggio fino allo scadere del periodo di valutazione.

c Per l’attivazione viene utilizzato l’indirizzo hardware di un NIC (Network Interface Controller) del sistema; per questo motivo, è importante non modificare la configurazione Ethernet in seguito all’attivazione del software. Se si desidera disattivare uno o più NIC del sistema, è necessario farlo prima di eseguire l’attivazione del prodotto. Se il software viene installato in un computer portatile che disattiva automaticamente il proprio NIC (ad esempio, quando si passa da una connessione Internet Ethernet a una wireless), consultare la documentazione del computer per le istruzioni su come modificare le impostazioni NIC del sistema prima di attivare il software Avid.

n Se l’applicazione viene disattivata nel corso del periodo di valutazione di 14 giorni, la validità continuerà comunque a decorrere dalla data del primo avvio; non è inoltre possibile estendere il periodo di valutazione oltre il limite di 14 giorni.

Se si acquista il software dal negozio online di Avid, è necessario immettere la chiave di autorizzazione per ottenere il numero di serie della propria applicazione di montaggio.

Se si sta eseguendo l’aggiornamento di un software dotato di chiave hardware, è necessario collegare la chiave prima di attivare il software tramite lo strumento di attivazione di Avid. Per ulteriori informazioni consultare la sezione “Connecting the Application Key” (Connessione della chiave hardware dell’applicazione) dell’Help (Guida in linea). Se si esegue l’aggiornamento dell’applicazione da una versione basata su chiave hardware a una versione con licenza elettronica, la chiave hardware verrà automaticamente disattivata al momento dell’attivazione del software. È possibile aggiornare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid da una licenza software esistente o da una licenza con chiave hardware. Se si effettua l’aggiornamento da una licenza con chiave hardware e si sta cambiando modello di prodotto, il kit di aggiornamento include una scheda di aggiornamento della chiave hardware, un codice di aggiornamento e un codice di attivazione del software. Per effettuare l’aggiornamento, consultare le istruzioni contenute nel kit di aggiornamento.

n L’aggiornamento dal una licenza con chiave hardware a una licenza software comporta l’aggiornamento delle informazioni della chiave hardware e la disattivazione della stessa. Una volta attivata la licenza software, la chiave hardware non è necessaria per eseguire l’applicazione di montaggio Avid.

Se si effettua un aggiornamento a una release principale a partire da una licenza hardware esistente, è prima necessario disattivare la licenza attuale. In caso contrario, viene visualizzato un messaggio che chiede di disattivare la licenza obsoleta prima di attivare la nuova licenza software.

n Se l’aggiornamento riguarda una release di manutenzione (disponibile per clienti con contratto di supporto qualificato), non è necessario disattivare la licenza attuale.

Se si aggiorna la licenza per chiave hardware esistente e si dispone di un contratto di supporto Avid Assurance attivo, leggere le istruzioni fornite con l’aggiornamento prima di aggiornare il sistema.

Per eseguire l’aggiornamento automatico dell’applicazione di montaggio Avid da una licenza software esistente, eseguire le operazioni seguenti:

Disattivazione del software

Per eseguire l’applicazione di montaggio Avid su un altro sistema, è necessario innanzitutto disattivare la licenza software prima di poterla riattivare su un secondo computer. Il processo di disattivazione si verifica durante l’esecuzione dell’applicazione; tutti i progetti correnti e i bin aperti verranno automaticamente salvati.

Se il sistema dispone di connessione Internet, è possibile riattivare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid in modo automatico. In alternativa, è necessario riattivare manualmente la licenza software tramite telefono o la connessione Internet di un altro computer. Per ulteriori informazioni sull’attivazione del software, consultare la sezione “Attivazione del software” a pagina 62.

Se il proprio sistema utilizza Avid License Service per autorizzare la licenza software, è necessario disconnettere il sistema dal servizio di licenza per disattivarlo. A differenza della disattivazione, la disconnessione comporta non solo la disattivazione della licenza, ma anche la sua restituzione al pool di licenze gestito dal server delle licenze.

Per disattivare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid eseguire le operazioni seguenti:

1. Avviare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid e aprire un progetto.

2. Selezionare Special (Speciale) > Deactivate (Disattiva).

Verrà visualizzata la finestra di dialogo Deactivate (Disattiva).

t Se si intende tornare a utilizzare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid sul sistema in un momento successivo, disattivare l’opzione relativa alla cancellazione delle informazioni sul numero di identificazione del sistema e sul numero di serie (l’opzione risulta deselezionata per impostazione predefinita). In questo modo le informazioni relative alla licenza locale non verranno rimosse e sarà quindi possibile riattivare la licenza in un secondo momento.

t Se non si intende riutilizzare il sistema, ad esempio perché si sta procedendo alla sua sostituzione, selezionare l’opzione per l’eliminazione delle informazioni sul numero di identificazione del sistema e sul numero di serie. In questo modo le informazioni relative alla licenza locale verranno rimosse dal sistema e nessun altro utente potrà riattivare la licenza.

4. Fare clic su Deactivate (Disattiva).

Al termine della disattivazione verrà visualizzato un messaggio che conferma la corretta disattivazione del software.

5. Fare clic su OK.

Prima della chiusura dell’applicazione, tutti i progetti correnti e i bin aperti verranno salvati.

Per disconnettere l’applicazione di montaggio Avid da Avid License Service e disattivarla, eseguire le operazioni seguenti:

1. Avviare l’applicazione di montaggio Avid e aprire un progetto.

2. Selezionare Special (Speciale) > Disconnect from Avid License Service (Disconnetti da Avid License Service).

Viene visualizzata una finestra di dialogo che informa che la disconnessione dal servizio di licenza comporta la disattivazione della licenza e la sua restituzione al server.


Prima della chiusura dell’applicazione, tutti i progetti correnti e i bin aperti verranno salvati e la licenza verrà disattivata.

Instalación del software

Si está actualizando una versión anterior, debe desinstalar la aplicación de edición existente. Además, debe desinstalar los controladores digitales mediante las opciones Agregar/Quitar (Add/Remove) del Panel de control (Control Panel). Reinicie el sistema y, luego, instale la nueva aplicación de edición. Si no elimina los controladores digitales, no se cargarán los módulos adicionales Audiosuite y es posible que reciba el mensaje de error “Antes de ejecutar este software debe instalar el controlador de dispositivo TPkd y reiniciar el sistema“ (This software requires installation of device driver TPkd and a reboot before running), o bien el mensaje de error “Interfaz DAE NO disponible” (DAE Interface NOT Available). Avid recomienda comprobar que se haya instalado la revisión KB926255 de Windows Update para resolver el problema.

c Si instala copias con licencia de la aplicación de edición Avid desde una imagen ISO, desactive el el software antes de crear el archivo ISO. A continuación, deberá activar el software en cada sistema que requiera la licencia de edición de Avid.

(Sólo Macintosh) Si la actualización es de una versión anterior de la aplicación de edición para Macintosh, elimine los módulos adicionales Stereo Mixer.dpm y Surround Mixer.dpm desde la siguiente ubicación: Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/ Plug-Ins. Activación del software Avid

Tras instalar el software, puede activar la aplicación de edición Avid mediante uno de los siguientes métodos:

• Puede utilizar una conexión a Internet para activar el software de manera automática. La herramienta de activación de Avid le permite activar el software online con el número de identificación del sistema y el número de serie incluidos con el software.

• Puede utilizar una conexión a Internet para activar el software manualmente. Si el sistema con el cual se ejecuta la aplicación de edición Avid no está conectado a Internet, puede activar el software con otro ordenador que disponga de conexión a Internet.

• Para activar el software puede realizar una actualización de una versión con mochila a una con licencia de software. Para más información, consulte “Actualización del software” en la página 87.

• Para activar el software puede realizar una actualización de una versión de licencia de software instalada anteriormente a una nueva licencia de software. Para más información, consulte “Actualización del software” en la página 87.

• Puede activar el software telefónicamente por medio del servicio de atención al cliente de Avid. Esta opción le permite activar la aplicación de edición en caso de que la configuración del sistema no le permita el acceso a Internet.

• Puede ejecutar el software durante un período de prueba de 14 días sin necesidad de activarlo. El período de prueba le permite acceder a todas las funciones de la aplicación de edición Avid. Al finalizar el período de prueba, puede optar por comprar el software y activarlo en ese momento.

• Puede activar el software mediante Avid License Service si ha instalado el servicio en un servidor compatible.

n Si tiene un contrato de asistencia activo de Avid Assurance, podría tener la opción de actualizar el software con una llave de la aplicación existente (mochila). Consulte las instrucciones que se proporcionan con la actualización para obtener más información.

c Si cambia la configuración del sistema (por ejemplo, si sustituye el disco duro o actualiza el sistema operativo), primero deberá desactivar el software Avid. Para obtener información sobre la desactivación, consulte “Desactivación del software” en la página 92.

Activación del software

Después de la instalación del software de la aplicación de edición Avid, debe activar la copia de la aplicación.

La herramienta de activación de Avid se inicia la primera vez que utiliza la aplicación de edición. Si utiliza la versión de prueba de 14 días de la aplicación, la herramienta de activación se iniciará cada vez que se abra la aplicación de edición hasta que venza dicho período de prueba.

c La activación utiliza la dirección de hardware de una Administración de interfaz de red (NIC, Network Interface Controller) del sistema, por lo tanto, es importante no modificar la configuración de Ethernet una vez que se haya activado el software. Si necesita desactivar una o más NIC del sistema, debe hacerlo antes de la activación. Si instala el software en un portátil que desactiva automáticamente la NIC (por ejemplo, al cambiar entre conexiones a Internet tipo Ethernet e inalámbrica), consulte en la documentación del ordenador las instrucciones sobre cómo cambiar la configuración de la NIC del sistema antes de activar el software Avid.

n Si desactiva la aplicación durante el período de prueba de 14 días, dicho período continuará ejecutándose y no se podrá extender el límite de 14 días.

Si adquiere el software en la tienda de Avid en Internet, deberá introducir la clave de autorización online para recibir el número de serie para la aplicación de edición.

Si actualiza un software que originalmente incluía una clave de aplicación, también denominada “mochila” o “dongle”, debe colocar la clave antes de activar el software con la herramienta de activación de Avid (para obtener más información, consulte “Conectar la llave de la aplicación” (“Connecting the Application Key”) en la Ayuda). Al actualizar la aplicación de edición de una versión con mochila a una versión sin mochila, la herramienta de activación desactiva la mochila de manera automática cuando se registra la copia del software. Para activar la aplicación de edición Avid de manera automática:

1. Inicie la aplicación de edición Avid.

Se abrirá la herramienta de activación.

2. Seleccione “Deseo activar el software mediante la conexión a Internet de este ordenador” (I want to activate my software using this computer’s Internet connection).

3. Haga clic en Continuar (Continue).

Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo Activación de Avid (Avid Activation).

4. Escriba el número de identificación del sistema en el cuadro de texto Id. del sistema (System ID). El número de identificación del sistema se encuentra en la portada interior de esta guía. Si compró el software Avid online, debe haber recibido el número de identificación del sistema de Avid por correo electrónico.

n Puede copiar y pegar el número de identificación del sistema y el número de serie desde un archivo de texto en los cuadros de texto correspondientes.

5. Escriba el número de serie en el cuadro de texto Número de serie (Serial Number). El número de serie se encuentra en la portada interior de esta guía. Si compró el software Avid online, debe haber recibido el número de serie de Avid por correo electrónico.

6. Si desea consultar las normas de privacidad de Avid, haga clic en Leer normas de privacidad (Read Privacy Policy).

7. Efectúe una de las operaciones siguientes:

t Seleccione “Registre el producto con Avid Technology, Inc. ahora” (Register your product with Avid Technology, Inc. now) y haga clic en Siguiente (Next).

Se abre un cuadro de diálogo de registro. El registro online de Avid permite recibir actualizaciones e información de mantenimiento importantes.

t Seleccione “No registrar esta vez” (Don’t register at this time) y haga clic en Activar (Activate).

La herramienta de activación confirma la información del sistema. Cuando se complete la activación, aparecerá un mensaje que le informará de que el software se activó correctamente.

n Si no desea registrar el software ahora, puede hacerlo en cualquier momento seleccionando Especial (Special) > Registrar (Register) en la aplicación de edición.

8. Si decide registrar el software:

a. En el cuadro de diálogo Register (Registrar), escriba el nombre, la dirección e información de contacto en los cuadros de texto pertinentes. Los asteriscos (*) indican campos obligatorios.

b. Haga clic en Next (Siguiente).

Se abre un cuadro de diálogo de registro.

c. Introduzca la información de producto y cliente pertinente. Los asteriscos (*) indican campos obligatorios.

d. Haga clic en Activar (Activate) y Registrar (Register).


9. Haga clic en Aceptar (OK).

8. Escriba el número de identificación del equipo en el cuadro de texto Id. de Avid del equipo (Avid Machine ID). El número de Id. de Avid del equipo se ubica en el cuadro de diálogo Activación de Avid (Avid Activation).



11. Haga clic en Enviar (Submit).

En la página Activación de Avid (Avid Activation) se genera el código de activación.

12. Transfiera el código de activación al sistema que desee activar. Puede copiar el código en un archivo de texto y utilizar un dispositivo de almacenamiento extraíble, como una unidad USB, o bien transferir los datos por medio de la red.

13. En el cuadro de diálogo Activación de Avid (Avid Activation), escriba el código de activación en el cuadro de texto Código de activación (Activation Code). Si copia el código de activación completo recibido en la página de activación de Avid desde un archivo de texto y lo pega en el primer cuadro de texto, el resto de los cuadros de texto se completa automáticamente.

14. Haga clic en Activar (Activate).



Para utilizar la aplicación de edición Avid durante un período de prueba de 14 días:



2. Seleccione “Deseo ejecutar la versión de prueba completa de la [aplicación de edición Avid] durante 14 días” (I want to run a fully-featured, trial version of the Avid editing application for 14 days).


Aparecerá un mensaje que le informará de que el software se activó correctamente. En cualquier momento durante el período de prueba de 14 días, puede optar por comprar una copia de la aplicación de edición Avid y activarla mediante la herramienta de activación. Si no compra el software, la aplicación se desactiva al vencer el período de prueba de 14 días.

Para activar la aplicación de edición Avid mediante Avid License Service:



2. Seleccione “Deseo realizar la activación mediante Avid License Service de mi empresa” (I want to activate using my company’s Avid License Service).


La aplicación busca un servicio Avid License Service disponible, según las propiedades de su grupo de trabajo (para sistemas dentro de un entorno Interplay) o el grupo AvidWorkgroup predeterminado (para configuraciones que no sean Interplay). Si la aplicación no puede encontrar un servicio de licencia disponible, un cuadro de diálogo le pedirá el nombre de host del servidor donde instaló Avid License Service. Escriba el nombre de servidor y haga clic en Activar (Activate).

Se puede actualizar la aplicación de edición Avid de una licencia de software existente o de una licencia con mochila. Si realiza la actualización desde una licencia con mochila y va a cambiar modelos de producto, el kit de actualización incluye una tarjeta de actualizador de mochila, un código de actualización y uno de activación de software. Consulte las instrucciones en el kit de actualización para actualizar el software.

n Al actualizar la licencia con mochila a una licencia de software, se actualiza la información de la mochila y se desactiva la mochila. Cuando haya activado la licencia de software, no necesitará la mochila para ejecutar la aplicación de edición Avid.

Si tiene una actualización para una versión principal y realiza la actualización desde una licencia de software existente, primero deberá desactivar la licencia activa. De lo contrario, un mensaje le pedirá que desactive la licencia antigua antes de activar la licencia de software nueva.

n Si la actualización es para una versión de mantenimiento (disponible para clientes con contratos de asistencia cualificados), no tendrá que desactivar la licencia activa.

Si actualiza la licencia de mochila existente y tiene un contrato de asistencia activo de Avid Assurance, lea las instrucciones que se entregan con la actualización antes de actualizar el sistema.

Para actualizar automáticamente la aplicación de edición Avid desde una licencia de software existente:





Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo Activación de Avid (Avid Activation). El cuadro de texto Id. del sistema (System ID) contiene el número de Id. del sistema existente.

4. Escriba el número de serie en el cuadro de texto Número de serie (Serial Number). Use el número de serie de la nueva versión del software.

n Si no visualiza el cuadro de texto Código de confirmación (Confirmation Code), haga clic en “Haga clic aquí para introducir el código de confirmación de la mochila” (Click here to enter your dongle confirmation code).

Desactivación del software

Si desea ejecutar la aplicación de edición Avid en otro sistema, primero, debe desactivar la licencia de software para poder activarla en un segundo sistema. La desactivación se produce mientras se ejecuta la aplicación, pero el proceso de desactivación guarda automáticamente todos los bins abiertos y el proyecto en curso.

Si su sistema dispone de conexión a Internet, puede volver a activar la aplicación de edición Avid de manera automática. De lo contrario, debe volver a activar la licencia de software manualmente por vía telefónica o por medio de otro ordenador con conexión a Internet. Para obtener más información sobre la activación del software, consulte “Activación del software” en la página 80.

Si el sistema utiliza Avid License Service para autorizar la licencia de software, deberá desconectar el sistema del servicio de licencia para desactivarlo. A diferencia de la desactivación, la desconexión no sólo desactiva la licencia, sino que también la devuelve al conjunto de licencias que se conserva en el servidor de licencias.

Para desactivar la aplicación de edición Avid:

1. Inicie la aplicación de edición Avid y, luego, abra un proyecto.

2. Seleccione Especial (Special) > Desactivar (Deactivate).

t Si tiene pensado utilizar la aplicación de edición Avid en este sistema en otro momento, anule la opción para borrar el Id. del sistema y el número de serie (la opción está anulada de manera predeterminada). De esta manera, se mantiene la información de licencia local y se puede volver a activar fácilmente.

t Si no tiene pensado utilizar el sistema nuevamente, por ejemplo, si va a retirar el ordenador , seleccione la opción para eliminar el Id. del sistema y el número de serie. De este modo, se elimina la información de licencia local del sistema y se evita que otros usuarios puedan activar su licencia.

4. Haga clic en Desactivar (Deactivate).

Cuando se completa la desactivación, aparece un mensaje que le informa de que la licencia del software se desactivó correctamente.


La aplicación guarda todos los bins abiertos y el proyecto en curso y, luego, se cierra.

Para desconectar la aplicación de edición Avid de Avid License Service y desactivarla:

1. Inicie la aplicación de edición Avid y, luego, abra un proyecto.

2. Seleccione Especial (Special) > Desconectar de Avid License Service (Disconnect from Avid License Service).

Se abre un cuadro de diálogo para advertir de que la desconexión del servicio de licencia desactiva ésta y la envía al servidor.

ソフトウェアのインストール以前のリリースからアップデートする場合は、既存の編集アプリケーションをアンインストールしてください。また、Digi Driver も、コントロールパネルの［追加と削］を使用してアンインストールしてください。システムを再起動した後に、新しい編集アプリケーションをインストールします。Digi Drivers を削除しないと、AudioSuite プラグインはロードされず、「このソフトウェアを実行する前に、デバイスドライバ TPkd をインストールして再起動する必要があります」または「DAE インターフェイスが使用できません」というエラーメッセージが表示される場合があります。この問題を解決するために、Windows Updates からホットフィックス KB926255 をインストールすることをお勧めします。

Avid ソフトウェアのアクティベーションソフトウェアのインストール後に、次のいずれかの方法で Avid 編集アプリケーションをアクティベーションできます。･インターネット接続を使用して自動的にソフトウェアをアクティベートできます。Avid のアクティベーションツールを使用すると、ソフトウェアに付属のシステム ID 番号とシリアル番号を使用して、ソフトウェアをオンラインでアクティベートできます。

3. ［Continue（継続）］をクリックします。［Avid アクティベーション］ダイアログボックスが開きます。
