Installation of the OPOS APG USB Cash Drawer

If this is a new installation you must be on version 4.4.04 or higher. The common files installer for this version is Install_Common_Files_4403.msi. The update file is version c_commonupdate_4403.exe.

1. Make sure UAC is turned off

2. You must restart after changes are made 3. Use the CD that came with the cash drawer or download the needed files from APG’s website:

4. Once unzipped you should have three folders

5. Install the Setup.exe file located in the 3.32.2 Installation Files Folder 6. The installation adds the configuration utility to your start menu

Run the utility

7. Right click on Cash Drawer and select Add Device:

8. Change the device type to Model 554 USBPro Interface

9. Click Next >

10. At this point you can either click Finish and proceed to assigning the drawer in sales or run a health check.

Run a health check!

11. Upon clicking OK the drawer should open and you should receive this message

12. Click OK, and then Cancel to exit out of the health test

13. Click Finish

Assigning the drawer in sales

1. Start Sales and click on Tools > Sales Point Setup > Miscellaneous

2. Select OPOS as the drawer type and CD554 for the Primary USB

3. Click Save and finalize a sale. 4. Your new drawer is installed!

Note: For Multi Drawer setup, install both drawers in the APG OPOS Config utility, and then assign both in Sales under Primary and Secondary.
