Installation procedure for:Eclo Express Thermo 2007 Basic

* Note! Don't plug the USB Adaptor in, until after the software installation is complete!

Insert the CD into your PC's optical drive. It should automatically come up with the following in a few moments.

Next you will see.

(If you get an error message at this point, see page 13.)

Click “Next >” to continue.

You will now see.

Click in the box to accept the terms of the licence, then click “Next >” to continue.


The full text of the “Important Information” is as follows. This is only relevant to someone re-installing the software on a computer that has already had Eclo software installed.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED A PREVIOUS VERSION AND YOU ARE INSTALLING THIS SOFTWARE PACKAGE

Beacuse of important changes to make this software compatible with Windows VISTA, it may be necessary to activate your licence again and it is recomended that your manualy remove the previous version before continue with this setup.

To deactivate the software licence:1 - Open the activation Windows through the "Activate Product" shortcut in the ExpressThermo 2007 Basic folder in Programs2 - Click "Move licence" button3 - Your software licence is waiting for a new activation in the activation server 4 - Take note of the license ID your deactivating to use with this new version (format XXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ)

To unnistall the previous version:1 - In Control Panel open the "Add and Remove Programs" applet2 - Search for Eclo ExpressThermo 2007 Basic in the list3 - Click the "Remove" button and wait for the unninstall application to finnish

After completing the above steps proceed with this installation.If you encounter any problems during this procedures please contact the Eclo Support Team.

Normally you would leave this exactly as suggested.



Again, leave the Program Folder name as suggested.




Click “Finish”. The program will now start.

You will see.


Then you will see.

If you click “No” you can go straight to use the program, however you have limited days of operation.

If you click “Yes” you will see the next window.

Enter the “Licence ID” supplied with your logger kit, plus at least the minimal information required.

*Note! You will need an active Internet connection to perform this Activation.


When the program starts for the first time you will see the following.

Now, plug in your USB adaptor.

* Note! Select carefully which USB socket you chose to use. Make a note of which one it is and only use that same socket each time you use the logger.

If you plug the USB Adaptor into a different USB socket, you will need to go through the next few steps again.

When you plug in the USB Adaptor you will get a notice in the bottom right area of your screen notifying of new hardware detected. You will then see the next window.


Click, “No, not this time”, then click “Next >”

Click “Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)”, then click “Next >”


Tick “Include this location in the search:”, then click “Browse”

Navigate you way to highlight the folder shown above.

The Windows path for the folder is: (providing you installed the program in the default folder)

c:\Program Files\Eclo Express Thermo 2007\MAXIM USB Drivers


You will now see.

Then.

Click “Finish”.


You should then notice the following message at the bottom right of your screen.

At this stage everything is now set up for you to use the Eclo software with your Disklog Loggers.

If you encountered an error message at the beginning, please reed the following steps.

If you get the error shown above, you will need to go to the “Add or Remove Programs” function in Windows Control Panel.

Scroll down the list to find the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 program, select it then click the “Remove” button.


If you get the following message, it is most likely because you have higher versions of the .NET software.

Starting with the highest version you have (3.5 SPI shown above) you will need to remove each of them before restarting the installation of Eclo software.
