Installing Safe Exam Browser GOOGLE CHROME is the recommended browser for using SEB.

SEB is NOT available for Chromebooks or Android devices.

Go to the Safe Exam Browser download page.

Choose your operating system – Windows, macOS, or iOS. SEB is not available for

Chromebooks or Android devices.

Click the appropriate OS to begin the download.

Wait for the download to finish.

Open the downloaded file.

Follow the prompts to install the program for your specific operating system.

After SEB is installed open a quiz in Moodle and choose Launch Safe Exam

Browser if you are using Google Chrome in Windows or macOS. (See notes below

if you are using Safari or Google Chrome on a mobile device.)

Google Chrome will ask to allow the application to run. Check the box to allow

then Open Safe Exam Browser.

If you are using Google Chrome on an iOS device, you must download the

configuration file first. You won’t be able to directly Launch Safe Exam Browser as

mentioned for Google Chrome for Windows or macOS.

Open the config file using SEB.

If you use Safari on any device, you must download the configuration file first

and then open the configuration file to launch SEB. You won’t be able to directly

Launch Safe Exam Browser as mentioned for Google Chrome for Windows or

macOS.
