• Shared use trails along I-66 that integrate with County and Park trails
• Near homes, the path will be on the I-66 side of the noise wall
• Along I-66, concrete barrier with fence will separate the trail from the
roadway

Tolling Construction Update
Construction Status:
• All gantries have been installed
• Majority of overhead signs installed
• Ground mounted signs installed
• All seven toll shelters installed
Construction Activities:
• Equipment installation on overhead toll gantries
• Electrical work on signs along I-66 and local roads
• Toll System testing began summer 2017

I-395 Project Overview
• Extending and converting 8 miles of HOV
Lanes to Express Lanes between Turkeycock
Run (near Edsall Road) to 14th Street Bridge
(DC Line)
• Adding a third HOV lane from north of Edsall
Road to just south of Eads Street near the
Pentagon
• Addition of a fourth regular southbound lane on
395 between Duke Street and Edsall Road
• Improvements in traffic flow at the Eads Street
Interchange and access to the Pentagon,
Metro Station and transit hub
• Installation and modification of sound walls
• Rehabilitation of I-395 bridges
• Project will provide revenue for transit projects
