Our History
2002: The Institute of Production and Recording was started
Founded by four very different individuals:
Terry Myhre, owner of numerous career colleges as well as production powerhouse Broadview Media
Jack Robinson, the owner/operator of the Electronic Musicians Workshop and accomplished producer/engineer
Lance Sabin, a producer/song writer awarded with numerous major label and Billboard top 100 credits
Tom Tucker Sr., a master engineer with years of experience at many of the Cities top studios
Located in the revitalized warehouse district in downtown Minneapolis
Our Goals
Students: Train students for employment in the media and entertainment industry and assist graduates find jobs
Employers: Assist employers find qualified job candidates
Career Training
Emphasis on practical training and hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art facility
Instruction by experienced and award-winning professionals
Students are prepared for their specific career upon graduation

Created with input from advisory board members currently working in the field
