History Part of the Faculty of Forestry, Geo and Hydrosciences

Founded in 1995, as cooperation of two chairs:- Chair of Waste Management- Chair of Contaminated Site Treatment

System Analysis and Computer Science also joined later

Pirna, upon the banks of the Elbe River

(15 km SE from Dresden)

Location

About 40 people (education and research): chemists, geologists, civil engineers, microbiologists and computer scientists

Staff members

Basic training and education focused on:

- German diploma/master’s study course;- International master program: “Waste Management and Contaminated Site Treatment”
