The Rahul Foundation, established by Mr. R.N. Majumder, is a registered trust

committed to provide quality education. The courses offered by the institutes have

been designed and structured in tune with present market needs. Its multi-

disciplinary approach, constant interface with the industry and networking

contribute to the overall development of the students. The foundation has

progressively, in the last five years, setup higher educational institutions in an

integrated and modern campus at Durgapur. The essence of the academic

environment is its dedicated faculty, high quality educational infrastructure and

student fraternity, chosen on the basis of academic merit alone.

At present Rahul Foundation runs six institutes-DIATM, MID, DCCS, LCD, DIP,

MIS, GDITC, GDHRINS, GDMHRI, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and

facilities which include well equipped libraries, modern laboratories and workshops,

sophisticated computer centers with round-the-clock internet connectivity, well

planned and modern hostels for boys and girls, spacious canteens, modern

gymnasium among other things.

M.Sc, Phd, MBA, Fellow UNDP (USA), Fellow CIMPA (France)

Prof Dilip Kumar Banerjee, has had his education in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science from

Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata and in Jadavpur, Ranchi and Bhagalpur Universities. He joined as a

Research Fellow in Computer Science and Information Technology in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata and

obtained his Ph. D. degree from the Jadavpur University. He attained the M.B.A degree from Sikkim Manipal

University while working at the Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology at Sikkim. He worked as a Scientist in

the prestigious Knowledge Based Computer Systems project of ISI, Kolkata. Selected as a UNDP fellow from

ISI, he went to the University of Washington, Seattle for advanced training and research in applications of

Artificial Intelligence techniques. During 1991-1995 he visited France and Europe several times as a Fellow of

the International Centre for Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA) and worked with the leading researchers

of his field. He taught at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at ISI, Kolkata, Jadavpur University,

Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (as the Head of the departments of Computer Science and Information

Technology departments). He was the Director of the Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and

Management during 2005-2007, the Director of the Asia Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi in 2008-

2010, the Principal of Globsyn Business School, Kolkata during January –October 2011 and OSD-Planning at

Central University of Jharkhand, Ranchi (Nov. 2011-May 2014). Currently he is working as the Director

General-Academics of Rahul foundation looking after the overall functioning of the all the academic

institutions. Besides academic experience of about 24 years he also worked in industry for about 15 years in

Sarabhai Chemicals and Leica Imaging System Ltd., Cambridge, UK. He has about 50 research articles

published in prominent national and international journals and conferences.

Prof. (Dr) Prasanta Kumar Sinha,

BE & M. Tech. in (Mechanical Engineering) from NIT, Durgapur and

Ph. D. (Mechanical Engineering), Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Dr. Prasanta Kumar Sinha has received his BE(Mechanical Engineering) and M.

Tech.(Mechanical Engineering) both from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur. He has obtained

his Ph. D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Jadavpur University. He has 16(Sixteen) years of

academic experience in different capacities from 2003 till date. He worked as the Head of Mechanical

Engineering Department of DIATM from 2003 to December, 2011. From Feb. of 2005 to December,

2011 he was the Deputy Director of DIATM. He served as Principal for 6(Six) months in Techno India

Group College(KITM). For the last 3(Three) years he is working as the Principal of DIATM.

He has published about 85(Eighty five) papers in prominent National and International Journals and

Conferences. He has been selected as a Research Supervisor in WBUT and NIT, Durgapur. Jadavpur

University and Bhagbat University, Rajasthan. He is also looking after three other Institutions under

Rahul Foundation i.e. Durgapur Institute of Polytechnic(DIP), Management Institute of Durgapur (MID)

& Gouri Devi (P) Industrial Training Institute(GDPITI) as Director. He has also 15 years of Industrial

experience in the field of Design, Production and Project.

Dr.Ananta Kumar Das (born in 1961) did his B.Sc (Honours) in Chemistry from University of Calcutta in the year 1981. There after he did B.Tech and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering respectively in the year 1984 and 1987 from the University of Calcutta. He had the honor of obtaining Doctor of Philosophy (Tech) from the same University in the year 2006.

He has a vast working experience in his career in different companies like Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Dunlop India Ltd., Pulver Ash Projects Ltd. and D.C. Industrial Plant Service s Ltd.

Presently he is the Professor of Chemical Engineering Department of Durgapur Institute of Advanced Technology and Management, Rajbandh ,Durgapur , a Institute under West Bengal University of Technology ,Kolkata and approved by All India Council of Technical Education,New Delhi. In addition he is holding the position of Dean(Academic &Planning )of the Institute.

He has a good exposure in the area of Environmental Engineering He has done his research work on manufacturing fly ash - Lime bricks, fly ash based low cost cement, roof tiles etc.During his tenure at Pulver Ash Projects Ltd , he has developed the improved technology in fly ash bricks manufacturing process .

Dr. Das is associated with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, The Institution of Engineers (India) and Coal ash Institute of India as Life member. He is also a Consulting Engineer of MSME.

Dr. Das has got the credit of publishing many papers in different national and international journals. He has also presented many papers in national , international conference and seminar . He has delivered lectures and attended seminars and Workshop in different Institutes and Organizations.
