Balance and strengthening• Stand on both discs and step off, then

alternate stepping on one disc at a time. • Spin around on one disc, regaining your

balance on both discs (Fig.4).• Line up several 8-board®s lengthwise and

walk along the 8-board®s while maintaining your balance.

• Lunge with one foot on a disc and one leg extended behind on the floor.

• Do push-ups with one hand on each disc.

How to AdjustThe distance between the discs should be approximately shoulder width apart. To changethewidth,locatethebuttonsonthemiddle section of the 8-board®. Press down on the buttons and then slide the disc sections apart or together. Click into place. See back page for adjustment details.

Beginning use• Slowly place your feet onto the center of each

disc. Hold onto a wall, counter or stationary object for balance if necessary.

• Keep the back straight, knees bent and look straight ahead.

• Practice swiveling back and forth on the discs.• Next, place your elbows at your sides and clasp

your hands with the index fingers extended.• Draw a horizontal line with your index fingers,

side to side. Allow the feet to swivel as you draw the line in front of you (Fig.1).

• Next, draw the “infinity sign” with your index fingers, keeping your elbows at your sides (Fig.2).

• Continue moving your hands and feet in the figure 8 motion (Fig.3).

• Next, separate your hands and initiate the motion from your hips (rather than your hands), feeling your hands and feet following the figure 8 hip motion.

• Progressively move the arms out in a wider figure 8 pattern to promote greater core body control.
