Instructions  for  Downloading  Video  and  Transferring  it  for  Replay  on  Your  iPad  

Go  to  the  Leader  Videos  Site  on  LDS.org:  

1. Open  a  web  browser.  2. Enter  the  following  into  your  browser’s  address  bar:

3. Press  Enter  to  open  the  leader  videos  page.  

 

Locate  a  Video  you  wish  to  download:  

1. Play  the  videos:    • The  top  portion  of  the  page  is  a  video  player.    • Beneath  it  are  thumbnail  images  and  brief  descriptions  of  each  of  the  videos.  • Clicking  on  the  thumbnail  images  will  cause  the  video  to  play  in  the  video  

player.

NOTE:  There  are  multiple  pages  of  videos.  Click  the  pagination  links  at  the  

bottom  of  the  page  to  move  between  the  pages  of  videos.  

 

2. Find  the  “download  video”  link  at  the  bottom  of  each  description.  (Please,  don’t  click  on  it,  yet—see  the  next  step.)  

 

Download  the  video:  

1. Right  click  on  the  Download  Video  link.    • A  pop-­‐up  window  will  appear.  Firefox

 2. Click  on  the  prompt  that  allows  you  to  “download”  or  “save”  the  link  to  a  

filename  of  your  choosing.  (The  item  circled  in  the  diagram  above,  depending  upon  which  browser  you  are  using.)

 3. You  will  be  prompted  name  the  saved  the  file.

4. Specify  a  filename  and  a  location,  and  click  the  Save  button  to  save  the  file.  • The  file  will  download  for  several  minutes,  depending  upon  the  length  of  the  

video.  • You  may  monitor  the  download  process  by  selecting  “Downloads”  from  the  

“Window”  menu  at  the  top  of  the  screen.

The  progress  bar  will  indicate  when  the  browser  has  completed  

the  download.      

 

5.  Open  the  folder  containing  the  file  by  clicking  on  the  small  

magnifying  glass  icon  on  the  far  right.

As  the  file  downloads,  the  percentage  complete  is  indicated  until  

the  file  is  completely  downloaded.

5.  Open  the  folder  containing  the  file  by  right-­‐clicking  on  the  item  in  

the  download  list.  

 

6.  Click  on  “Show  in  Finder”    

 

 

The  file  has  been  downloaded  to  the  location  specified.  

 

Add  the  file  to  your  iTunes  Library:  

1. Find  iTunes  (usually  on  your  computers  “dock”  at  the  bottom  of  the  screen.    

 2. Click  on  the  icon  to  open  iTunes.  

 

 

Add  the  file  to  your  iTunes  Library:  

1. To  add  the  video  to  iTunes,  drag  the  file  from  its  folder  onto  the  Library  section  of  iTunes.

• The  file  will  be  added  to  the  Movies  section  of  your  iTunes  Library.    

Sync  your  iPad:  

1. Plug  your  iPad  into  your  computer  by  attaching  the  data  transfer  cable  to  both  the  iPad  and  the  computer.  

   

2. iTunes  will  recognize  your  device  and  show  it  in  the  item  list  on  the  left  side  of  the  screen.  

 

• Your  iPad  should  automatically  Sync,  transferring  the  added  video.    

 

View  the  Video:  

1. Once  the  sync  is  completed,  open  the  video  application  on  your  iPad.    

 

• The  transferred  video  should  be  listed  among  the  movies  on  the  iPad.

2. Double  tap  it  to  watch  the  video.
