Your role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, a vacancy has arisen for an Instrument Technician Assistant / Apprentice within the Engineering Department Main activities of the role will be calibration work, servicing of production printers, calibration of test equipment Conduct site IT activities as and when required. This role is suitable for someone with a keen interest in IT/ IS, Electrical Engineering and Computers. You should be willing to spend some time at other Company locations when required for familiarisation training of IT / IS Systems. The role is full time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week Your profile: The ideal candidate will have: Preferably qualified in Performing Engineering Operations and BTEC Engineering NVQ level 2 qualification. Preferably NVQ level 3 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent in Computer Science. Minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications including Mathematics, Language, IT and Science at grades A – C. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Time management skills and multi-tasking abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with willingness to learn new software and systems Self-motivated with keen eye for detail is important in this role.
