INSTRUMENTAL/VOCAL LESSONS At Stanborough, Students can choose to have additional instrumental or vocal lessons, which are taught by our excellent team on Visiting Music Teachers, who work as part of the Hertfordshire Music Service (HMS). Tuition is currently available on the following instruments: Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet French Horn, Trombone, Trumpet, Tuba Drum Kit Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Electric Guitar, Ukulele Voice (Any Style) Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass Piano, Keyboard Other instruments may be available with prior notice. Tuition is possible for both beginners and more experienced students Approximate fees for 11 lessons per term are as follows: Individual 20 minute lessons £154.00 Individual 30 minute lessons £231.00 Prices quoted are for academic year 2020/21 and may be subject to change. Tuition takes place during normal school lesson time with students missing part of a different lesson each week wherever possible. Students are expected to catch up on any work missed. EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

We have lots of extra-curricular activities available for students and staff to develop their musicality. You can hear the products of our hard work at our termly concerts.

Extra-curricular activities include: Concert Orchestra School Choir Senior Choir School Musical Rehearsal Jazz Band Percussion Ensemble String Group Ukulele Group Brass Ensemble Flute Choir Guitar Club Grade 5 Theory Sound and Light Team Most of the activities listed above take place after school or at tutor time. The Music department is also open most lunchtimes. Students can book a practice room to work as part of a group, or can use the keyboards or composing software in our Music classrooms. All students are encouraged to get involved with our extra-curricular activities.

To join in, all students need to do is come along to the session(s) they are most interested in.

Every session attended is rewarded with a Bronze award!
