Patria for Professionals

Integrated ATPL(A) Pilot Training in FinlandProfessional pilot training through four seasons

Patria is a leading Flight Training Organisation (FTO) in Northern Europe. Established in 1988, Patria´s young aircraft fleet and training facilities are located at Helsinki-Malmi (EFHF) airport, Finland.

Located between east and west, Finland and its capital Helsinki is within easy reach from all parts of the world and with four distinct seasons offers aspiring pilots the opportunity to train in changing weather conditions all from one location.

International training programmes

Whatever your training needs, Patria has established a reputation of providing ATPL(A) training of the highest quality and has been the first choice training establishment for many of today’s commercial pilots around the world.

Flight Training in Finland is based on JAR-FCL training requirements. Hundreds of our students have been employed by airlines throughout the world and have gone on to build successful careers.

Helsinki

Train for the real world

Flight training in Finland comes with four seasons and prepares your students to operate in all weather conditions. Demanding training environment improves students´ ability to make crucial decisions whilst encountering icing and low visibility conditions. Patria´s fully certified FIKI* fleet enables students to experience all four seasons, unlike other Flight Training Organisations who are committed to only offering ‘blue skies’!

Plenty of free and unrestricted airspace in an EASA environmentFinland is the sixth largest country in Europe with vast amounts of free and unrestricted airspace as well as 25 paved airports located throughout the country. Training in Finland offers not only numerous domestic destinations but also access to nearby foreign airports, throughout the Baltic States and Sweden in particular.

Finland is a full member in JAA/EASA and therefore all licences issued will automatically be based on these rigorous training requirements. The Finnish CAA is also recognized for its exceptionally high standards – a fact which reflects directly to the quality of Patria Pilot Training offering.

Patria in-house Part 145 maintenancePatria operates its own Part 145 maintenance in-house. Our own maintenance ensures we are able to offer more flight training hours per day without compromising technical reliability.

Tecnam P2002JF is the latest addition to Patria´s basic training fleet. Received in May 2011, the new Tecnams set Patria´s basic training offering to an entirely new level of quality, efficiency and effectiveness. The entire Tecnam fleet is fitted with the most modern equipment including the Garmin 500 avionics suite. It provides trainees with a smooth transition from initial to instrumental training.

The new Tecnam P2002JF will help Patria’s flight cadets to develop the skills they need in today’s modern cockpit environment, a critical factor in establishing their future professional careers with commercial airlines. With its low operating costs, extremely fuel efficient engine technology coupled with lower noise emissions, the Tecnam P2002JF represents the latest in aerospace technology.

Cirrus SR22 GS G3 is probably the best single engine training aircraft there is for instrument training purposes. It boasts several extremely useful features for training and safety and comes with the most modern avionics package available, the Cirrus Perspective suite. This Garmin 1000 based package also features a capable digital autopilot.

Patria´s Cirrus fleet comes with FIKI certificate for Flight Into Known Icing conditions, a feature which enables Patria to train its students in actual icing conditions and build up their confidence and knowledge towards real world events. Cirrus is also a very fast aircraft and routinely operates among airliners with the same speed range when practising approaches. Finally, the fleet is equipped with Cirrus Airframe Parachute System for added safety of the aircraft and its crew.
