This means we need to agree to follow basic rules that we will discuss now.Be safe!Our top priority is to make sure each and every person in our building is safe . . . students, teachers, custodians, secretaries, administrators, lunch ladies, security officers . . . and especially our substitute teachers!(more on substitutes later!)Be safe!What does it mean to YOU to be safe?Be responsible!Be on time to class!

Handbook!All rules in your student handbook will be considered rules of this classroom as well.This includes following dress code and appropriate cellphone use.Core ValuesAgain, Mr. Davis and Mrs. Hoover want each of you to be successful in our classroom. This means we need to agree to follow the basic rules as outlined above.Core ValuesIf a student is having difficulty, Mr. Davis and Mrs. Hoover will work with you to help you get back on track.However, we will NOT allow individual students to disrupt the learning of others.Discipline LadderBehavior that is inappropriate in the classroom environment will be dealt with quickly and consistently.Discipline LadderStep One: Verbal WarningMr. Davis or Mrs. Hoover will directly as you to stop your behavior. This is a Verbal Warning.

Discipline LadderStep Two: Call homeMr. Davis or Mrs. Hoover will call your parent or guardian for a quick update on the behaviors that have occurred and to enlist their support.Discipline LadderStep Three: Office ReferralMr. Davis or Mrs. Hoover will enter a Behavior Log Entry in PowerSchool for any student who continues to break rules.
