Intelligence 4.0: the power behind the Revolution
capable of actions and behaviours “requiring intelligence when done by humans” (2018)
1956 Dartmouth College Conference. 10-man, 2 month study built on the premise that:
“every aspect of learning or any other feature of intelligence can in principle be so precisely described that a machine can be
made to simulate it. ”
“use language, form abstractions and concepts, solve [the] kinds of problems now reserved for humans, and improve themselves”
”The 2 month, 10-man study would make: “a significant advance” in finding out how to make machines that could do at least one
of the following:
• “The risk is that the education system will be churning out humans who are no more than second-rate computers, so if the focus of education continues to be on transferring explicit knowledge across the generations, we will be in trouble.” (Financial Times 2017)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is intelligent in a particular sort of way, Humans are intelligent in many ways. AI and HI
are not the same and the differences are extremely important.

L3 Engage educators, trainers, researchers and AI developers
in the co-development and application of AI technology
that is specifically designed for education and training.
L1 Train educators and trainers to

L3 Tackle Educational Challenges using AI
L1 Prioritize the development of
our own non-automatable
human intelligence
L2 Educate people about
AI
E.g. Attention
Algorithms automatically increase the number
of training loops for the domains where you
have the greatest need…

If attention is your greatest need you will receive more Attention loops → building resilience in AttentionAs you progress the loops become more challenging

Cognitive sciences
We create learning routes
of activities on K12 Core
Subjects (math, science,
language) based on the
outcomes of Cognitive
Science research: « how
brain learns ?»
Artificial Intelligence
We strengthen those
activities through
an AI engine:
« what are the successful
paths for a student to
understand ?»
EvidenceB AI engine:
1. Identifies student profiles based on their skills in different types of exercises
(clustering, biclustering)
2. Offers recommendations based on the history collected by their profiles
(collaborative filtering), then based on the
3. history of each child (reinforcement learning)
4. Constantly adapts to new students and to new content (multi-armed bandit
algorithm)
5. Answers to open questions asked by students through fitted activities or with the
help of answers from the data base (deep learning)
