Course Description
The course will provide the main techniques on artificial intelligent control and its applications. After the course, students are able to apply the intelligent control techniques to deal with typical problems of various motor drives, from DC toSRM drives.
• Overview on Conventional Control Theory• Linear vs. Non-linear control• Control and Estimation: a dual problem• Fuzzy Logic Control • Fuzzy Logic Estimation• Artificial Neural Network • Artificial Genetic Algorithms• DC Motor Drives: Fuzzy logic control of speed• Control and Estimation of Induction Motor Drives:
–Fuzzy logic control of speed–Fuzzy Logic Model Reference Adaptive
Control of speed–Fuzzy logic estimation of rotor resistance–Efficiency-optimization control using neural
networks• Fuzzy logic control of PM Motor Drives• Fuzzy logic control of Brushless DC Motor Drives• Control Switched Reluctance Motor Drives: Fuzzy logic control for reducing torque ripple
Intended Audience: Scientists and engineers, with basic knowledge on Control Theory, Artificial Intelligence, Electric Machines andPower Electronics.
