Comfortable and secure door functions

Doors present special challenges in terms of burglar resistance,

fi re protection, tightness and accessibility.

With the multi-point door locks from Gretsch-Unitas, you are

installing this security. These locks have two or more additional

locking systems above and below the centre main lock case with

latch and no deadbolt. No manual locking is necessary with self-

locking locks with patented Automatic latchbolt. This automati-

cally ensures signifi cantly enhanced burglar protection and you

are insured with the door just closed. With VdS approval, these

locking systems are ideally suited for burglar-inhibiting doors with

increased security requirements.

The multi-point locks off er individual solutions for every installa-

tion situation from the manual version through to the self-locking

locking system with panic function.

Increased use of the Internet with mobile terminal devices means

that intelligent and convenient control of central building func-

tions is becoming more important than ever. Small control, high

level of convenience: open the house entrance door open even

from the parking space or air out the house with the full conve-

nience of remote control. Combined with the control options of

building automation, the functions of motor-driven drives off er

unparalleled convenience in every situation. GU Group provides

the entire range of functions: from the lock to the drive. Somfy

provides a fully networked building automation system. Conse-

quently, the level of convenience can be adapted fl exibly to the

individual needs of the users.

Intelligent home automation with Internet connectivity

The GU Controller io, a solution developed jointly by GU

Group and Somfy, not only allows house entrance doors,

Lift&Slide elements and windows to be controlled, it can also

be used to monitor them.

With the locking monitoring and checkback function, you

have the peace of mind at all times of knowing that your doors

and windows are securely locked.

The GU Controller allows the tried-and-tested GU house

en trance door concept (among other things) to be integrated

into the Somfy building automation – which means that the

door can not only be opened and closed, it can also be moni-

tored remotely via the Smartphone app (IOS & Android).

This solution developed by Somfy and the GU Group therefore

bridges the gap between security, control functions and conveni-

ence. In addition to control, this also includes the monitoring of

building functions. The main entrance door can for example be

controlled remotely and also monitored in this way. Questions

such as "Is the window closed?“ and "Have I locked the door?“

can thus be answered immediately.

Main entrance doors and apartment entrance doors are the most

important interface between private living space and the world

outside. The GU group provides intelligent product solutions for

convenient and controlled access to your home with Somfy.

In this case, comfort starts with the smallest of details. From

eff ortless mechanical opening with keys, convenient opening with

fi ngerprint scanner through to integration into Somfy building

automation and a control via Smartphones connected to it.

The solution is compatible with all packages from the GU house

entrance door concept, even if retrofi tted.

A variety of possibilities

Whether a new build, refurbishment or barrier-free construction

– with the joint solution from Gretsch-Unitas and Somfy, there

are countless possibilities for integrating GU products into the

building automation. By minimising the operating forces, the

requirements for a barrier-free construction in accordance with

DIN 18040 are met.

GU-SECURY Automatic multi-point lock with A-opener

GU-SECURY Automatic provides automatic security: Simply close

the door - without locking it. The door is multi-point locked with

the automatic latchbolts throwing 20 mm. Why not combine

security with comfort? With the GU-SECURY Automatic version

it is possible to enable the door electrically, e.g. via the access

control system or by pressing the button of the house entrance

door intercom.

Striker with RSK deadbolt monitoring contact

If GU-SECURY multi-point locks are used within facility manage-

ment systems, the locking status of the door can be queried using

strikers with a preinstalled monitoring contact and forwarded to

the evaluation unit of the monitoring system.

The RSK monitoring contact is certifi ed according to VdS grade C.

GU-SECURY Automatic multi-point lock

with A-opener servo

Servo-assisted motor-driven unlocking means that the automatic

latchbolts are retracted upon a slight turn of the key or tap on the

lever handle. All locking elements are automatically locked once

the door is closed.

Control fi ngerprint scanner / code keypad

Biometric fi ngerprint recognition or an individual code ensure

convenient access with no keys whatsoever. Simplicity of use, con-

fi guration and commissioning means the system is easily operated

by anyone. The diff erent operating elements provide fl exible

solutions for the users.

SECUREconnect (wireless power and data transmission unit)

Greater security and convenience for mechatronic locks:

Power and data transmission between the door leaf or window

sash and frame is one of the methods used by the GU Group to

ensure this. The compact SECUREconnect solution does not limit

the door opening and off ers the possibility to connect the GU

Controller io. The SECUREconnect 200 version allows for door

control via fi ngerprint scanner or code keypad integrated in the

door leaf.

Chain drives

Reliable opening and closing of Tilt-Only, Top-Hung and Turn-Only

windows and skylights in the event of fi re and when ventilating

on a daily basis: ELTRAL chain drives can be simply adapted to the

profi le geometry and combined with locking drives. This means

that even large and heavy window elements can be moved easily.

Drives for Lift&Slide elements

The motor-driven Lift&Slide drives can be used without additional

safety devices. They are equipped with an intelligent control sys-

tem that detects obstacles and includes an anti-trapping function.

An anti-lockout device prevents anyone from being locked out of

the building.

The HS-Master drive is magnifi cently suited to retrofi tting to

existing Lift&Slide elements.

GU Controller io

The GU Controller io not only allows house entrance doors,

Lift&Slide elements and windows to be controlled, it can also

be used to monitor them remotely. The GU-SECURY Automatic

multi-point lock with electromotive drive can be integrated into

the TaHoma Connect using the GU controller io. With the locking

monitoring and checkback function, you have the peace of mind

at all times of knowing that your house entrance doors are secure-

ly locked.

TaHoma Box

With TaHoma® Connect, you can control the home automation

by Internet as desired. Secure access via PC, tablet PC or Smart-

phone. Secure access via PC, laptop, tablet PC or Smartphone –

also when on the move.
