Intelligent Series Software Version 4.2 IS MergeComm IS MergeComm adds automated dispatching scenarios to AMTELCO’s Intelligent Series platform. MergeComm dis- patch scenarios can run automatically based on an inbound trigger such as an e-mail, can be scheduled to run on a recurring basis, can be initiated by an operator in a call center, can be initiated by a Web user running a Web script, or by a third party application interacting with the available SOAP and REST IS API’s. The heart of MergeComm is AMTELCO’S Intelligent Series Scripting. Scripts can have a MergeComm branch that includes all of the functions to perform on an automated basis upon receipt of the inbound trigger. Scripts that require operator interaction can be set to create a Dispatch Job to present to an operator. HTML Formatted MessagesMessages created using AMTELCO’s Intelligent Series Scripting can be specially formatted for delivery via e-mail and fax using an embedded HTML editor within the IS Script Editor. HTML formatting of e-mails and faxes allows greater customization of the layout of messages.

Messages can include tables, images, bullets, numbers, unique fonts, bolding, italics, underlining, colors (e-mail

only), and much more. HTML formatting can be accomplished directly within the HTML editor or can be imported from Microsoft Word documents. Importing from Microsoft Word documents allows utilizing all of the editing and formatting tools of Word to further enhance the layout of the message.

HTML Formatting provides a much more professional e-mail and fax deliverable to your clients.

System ScriptsSystem Scripts allow creating centrally stored Intelligent Series Scripts that can be shared and used by multiple Intelligent Series Clients. System Scripts are created and edited within the System Settings screen of IS Supervisor. They are then referenced by as many IS Clients as needed. System Scripts reduce the need for repetitive script editing for IS Clients that share the same scripting requirements.

Scheduled Fax and E-mail JobsIS Software Version 4.2 allows scheduling the sending of a fax or e-mail that can send multiple messages based on filter settings specified in the scheduled

job. This allows sending a summary fax or e-mail in the morning for all messages taken over a previous time period, such as sending all messages taken the previ-ous day. Available Filters include:

• Archived• Delivered• Taken Stamp• Delivered Stamp• Listing (would allow sending messages for an individual contact)• Sent• Urgent• Pending Dispatch

T3 Solutions AggregatorAMTELCO has partnered with SMS Aggregator T3 Solutions to integrate SMS aggregator services with IS for sending and receiving SMS text messages using a secure web connection over the Internet. Customers should contact T3 Solutions directly for information on signing up with their service. An SMS aggregator

enhances the sending and receiving of SMS text messages by speeding up the transmission to allow more messages to be transported over a shorter period of time.

The connection between IS and T3 Solutions facilitates improved SMS text replies. It eliminates the need for a reply code to be included in the reply.

SMS Aggregator provides a fast and secure interface to send SMS text messages with improved reply handling over that of modems.

IS MobileIS Mobile extends the functionality of AMTELCO’s IS Web to Apple users. IS Mobile is an iOS app that is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini, and iTouch devices.

IS Mobile provides a user with the ability to access their Messages, Directory, On-Call Schedules, and Status in one convenient location: the smart device.

With IS Mobile, users are able to contact other users via any of the IS contact methods, including e-mail, phone, miSecureMessages, SMS text messaging, pager, fax, and Vocera Badge text messaging. Users can send a message via the directory or on-call schedules.

With IS Mobile, users are able to update their IS Status, eliminating the need to speak to an operator.

Two-Way EMR IntegrationTwo-Way EMR integration facilitates communication with hospital EMR systems. IS can receive inbound HL7 messages from an EMR system and can use it to update a patient directory or to initiate a MergeComm scenario. Initiating a MergeComm scenario allows dispatching messages to hospital staff based on EMR updates such as a patient being discharged from a room requiring transport personnel to be paged. After the message dispatch

has been completed, IS can update the patient’s medical record by sending an outbound HL7 message back to the EMR system. This provides full documentation of any trans-action involving a patient in the EMR system.

Outbound HL7 can also be used to document telephone encounters related to a patient. When the call center takes a call related to a patient, the IS Script can send an HL7 message to the EMR system documenting the encounter.

The two-way EMR integration facilitates communication with hospital EMR systems to send and receive information via HL7.
