SYDNEY ALTSCHUL GLOBAL YOUTH SUMMIT ON THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE Sydney was nominated for this transformative program, which will focus on the future of the healthcare industry as well as develop networking and collaborative skills necessary to be leaders in the field. The University of Pennsylvania is one of the top universities in the world, recognized as a world-class research institution with a history of innovation in education. Distinguished alumni include Supreme Court justices, Nobel laureates, and global political leaders. With its ideal location in Philadelphia, Penn is the perfect setting for an Ivy League pre-college program and will help Adam to prepare for his transition from High School to the college of his choice. ANDREW BEHMOIRAS BUSINESS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP INSTITUTE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN The BBYO Michigan Business and Entrepreneurship Institute highlights Jewish business leadership and engages teens to learn through classroom activities and field trips. While on campus at the University of Michigan, Andrew will learn about competitive advantage, marketing, finance and product development. The two-week program, powered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, concludes with a competition where participants present original business plans to a panel of judges from the local business community, and the winners are awarded funding for their business plan. LIELLE ELISHA DUKE TIP MEDICAL PROGRAM AT RICE UNIVERSITY Duke’s Talent Identification Program for high achieving students is a world leader in helping to better understand, motivate, enrich, and academically challenge the brightest students in our nation. On the beautiful campus of Rice University in Texas, Lielle will engage in a stimulating, medically- focused program that promotes higher-level thinking through interactive, inquiry-based learning. AAron filSuniverSitY oF PennSYlvania medicine Summer ProGram (Pennmed)

Aaron Fils has been accepted into the Penn Medicine Summer Program for High School Students at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania (PennMed). He was one of only 100 students selected nationwide for the program. Through participation in PennMed, Aaron will have the opportunity to learn from the faculty and staff following a curriculum modeled after first-year Penn Medicine classes. Aaron will be immersed in the world of medicine as he explores career possibilities available to medical students, and he will join a diverse and talented group of High School juniors and seniors from all over the world for an unforgettable experience.

Hannah will employ her skills and further hone her craft in this highly competitive audition-based three-week program that runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. six days a week. She will be immersed in the three major areas of the performing arts: acting, voice and dance. Hannah’s talent and creativity will be fostered in all areas of musical theatre through self-discipline and technique, and she will be exposed to passionate and dedicated industry professionals who share their knowledge and expertise acquired along their own path to Broadway.

Admission to this highly competitive program reflects the caliber of Eli’s accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. Through participation in WSBA, which is sponsored by the Wharton Sports Business Initiative at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania,

Eli will have the opportunity to learn from Wharton faculty and staff, business leaders, Wharton upperclassmen, and of course his WSBA peers – a diverse and talented group of High School juniors and seniors from all over the world – for an unforgettable summer experience.

In addition to the WSBA program, Eli was selected to participate in the Wharton Moneyball Academy at UPenn. This unique program developed from the story of the Oakland A’s management employing a computer-generated analytical, Sabermetric approach to building the team on the field. Eli will delve deeply into sports analytics during this stimulating specialized program.

Immersive, collaborative, transformative — that’s the Harvard Pre-College Program. Matthew will grow as a critical thinker and engaged citizen, and he will focus on maximizing his achievements through this program. He will spend two weeks living and learning at Harvard and will thrive independently while in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Abe will fully engage with the language in the cultural setting of the Chinese Language Village and the outdoor environment through this incredible immersion experience in Wisconsin. In effect, Abe will enter China; his Village passport will be stamped at customs, and he will exchange any spending money to use at the gift shop in order to practice language skills on real purchases.

Abe also was nominated as the one delegate from Rosenblatt High School to attend the HOBY State Leadership Seminar – a leadership training program that helps students apply their skills to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community.

JoSeph ZeunerSteP technoloGY & Start uP ProGram at technion in haiFa, iSrael

Through his participation in this exciting program, Joseph will learn about entrepreneurship at specially designed workshops on product definition and development, industrial design, company planning, and patents and business law. He will participate in stimulating business and technology sessions and panels, and come up with a business start-up plan that would compete in today’s high tech global market. The program is coordinated by the Jewish Journey and Technion International and consists of academic workshops, site visits to Israeli tech firms, and meetings with leaders and innovators in the field. At the end of the program, students present their business plan to a panel of Israeli CEOs, emulating a real VC presentation.

clAire And emAnuel g. roSenBlAtt high School At dkJA

Students at Claire and Emanuel G. Rosenblatt High School at DKJA have the opportunity to excel in 15 AP classes and 20 Honors classes. Its program provides a diverse range of offerings that focus on rigorous academics, and social and emotional aspects of learning.

Students participate in the March of the Living during their senior year, followed by a trip to Israel. In addition, the college guidance program begins in ninth grade to comprehensively guide students through individualized academic course selection throughout their High School years, and during the college application process beginning in their senior year.

Student AccompliShmentSGraduates of Rosenblatt High School have earned the designation of AP Scholar by the College Board for their exceptional achievement on the college–level AP Exams. Recognition and awards from the National Merit® Scholarship Program, an academic competition based on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, have proudly been earned by Rosenblatt High School students.
