Overall Surface and Module DesignXRay
Luminous Geometry
The project is to create a lamp surface. My inspiration is mobius strips which can create space within a continuous surface. While the surface creates an interesting shape, the pattern on the surface creates a beauti-ful shadow.

Dome Effect
It is a project designed for Next University. The main concept of this project is the continuity of space and circulation which decreases the boundary between spaces. The continuity can create a space for a better communicatuin between students and faculty, which will blend the boundaries betwee classrooms and in-between spaces. The dome shape spaces, have high ceiling extend to the upper floor which create the connection between first floor and second floor. The curvy light fixtures continue to convey the same formal language as the architecture in the building.

IntersectionThis project is about the study of transparency and color by intersecting blocks of darkness and brightness. The concrete in different yellow tones and the acrylic in different transparencies give me inspiration while I saw how the color changed through the acrylic under the light. In the project, every blocks of space represents a color block with different level of lightness and darkness and the space are intersecting to each other which can create incredible and interesting effect.

Knit Landscape
The project is about to create a different function of belts. In this project, I made an installation which people can interact with it. The fabric belts are the main materials in this installation. I used the softness and flexibility of fabric
to create a comfortable area for people to sit, walk or climb on it. In this project, the important characteristics of fabric will be showed and used in very function ways.

The way I arrange the modules depends on how I image the human body is going to interact with this piece.

MetalThis project is to iterate an original pattern into a new pattern by using one kind of mate-rial. The density of the original pattern that I chose gave me the inspiration to use metal which has reflection to recreate the density. The pattern is created by a single module from compact to sparse.

Curvy Panels
This project is to create an incubator within a studio space for an artist. The main idea is to create different levels of privacy and to work with ergonomics. The incubator includes the combination of two curvy shapes space which are curved in opposite direction on first floor and second floor. The volume of two curvy spaces decreases from entry to the end of the space which create different levels of privacy. The materials are panels of wood which are curved in the way that fits different postures of human body.
