POSITION OVERVIEW

NTP has a vacancy for a Project Coordinator. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures. Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project. Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable. Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives. Ensuring that clients' needs are met as the project evolves.

Job Profile:

To manage NTP facility projects using sound project management principles to ensure completion on time, to specifications and requirements and within budgets.

Key Performance Areas Execution of dedicated NTP facility in adherence to project plans, budgets and

schedules;

Perform change request management, project tracking and document control activities;

Develop project scope, plan, deliverables, budget and milestones;

Develop project reports for management and clients;

Monitor project schedules regularly to determine any delays or deviations.

Prepare necessary presentation and updates as maybe required;

Contracts management;

Management of suppliers / manufacturers;

Provide operational and technical support to NTP as and when required;

Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with schedule management;

Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve;

Risk management and document control;

Oversee project procurement management;

Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise;

Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants;

Work with the Technical lead to eliminate scope creep;

Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures;

Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement);

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports;

Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests;

Chair and facilitate projects meetings where appropriate and ensure minutes are distributed to relevant stakeholders; and

Manage project schedule, cost and quality.

Job Requirements: Ability to plan, organise and control resources to achieve deadlines.

Innovation with regards to process optimization and troubleshooting.

Computer Literate with applicable software such as MS Office and MS Projects.

Good verbal and written communications skills.

Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Be able to work under pressure and meet target dates.

Must have own transport.

Must be medically fit to be registered as an occupational exposed worker.

Qualifications and Experience:

Preferably a B-Tech or National Higher Diploma (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical).

Applicable 3 to 5 years’ project management experience in an engineering environment, preferably in nuclear.

Prince2 foundation.

Preferable Prince 2 Practitioner/ PMP Certified.

Good technical ability, understanding of technical drawings and specifications.

Project management experience.

Sound knowledge and experience of technical and engineering specifications, applicable standards, codes and statutory regulations.

Knowledge of regulatory and statutory requirements.
