PART-A
Bharat Shikshan Sanstha was established before independence of India in 1941
during the Nizam regime at Omerga, one of the smallest but well known town situated on the
border of Maharastra and Karnatka. It was established with the intent to spread the education
in the rural area surrounding of Omerga. One of the branches of this education society was
established at Makni, one of the remote villages. On 30th
September 1993 the earthquake
destroyed the life of most of the people of this region. After that this education society
established a senior college in June 1999 in earthquake affected area to give higher education
to the Students. It was started with arts Stream in the beginning. Later on the Science Stream
has been started from June 2005. The last year we have started commerce Stream as well. In
this way, in this college we run three U.G. level streams.
IQAC-
Inspite of non-accredited college we voluntarily established IQAC as per the guidelines
of NAAC on 10th
Aug. 2010 for quality assurance within the existing academic and
administrative system. The representatives from the management, administration, teaching and
non-teaching are the members of Internal Quality Assurance Cell. The composition of IQAC is

Outcome Achieved during the year 2010-11
The college has conducted various activities as per the plan of action made by the
IQAC and in line with the Vision, Mission, Goals and objectives of our college. The outcome
achieved during the academic year is as under-
1. Achievement in teaching-learning
The modern teaching Aids are made available with the help of our parent college, SCS
College. The college has started commerce Stream since June 2010 for rural youths to
find employment and making them independent and stand on their feet.
2. Achievement in Research
The various faculties are promoted to participate in the Conferences /Seminars and
Workshop etc. The faculties also motivated to research leading Ph. D.

exhibition tournament in academic year 2010-11.
2. Miss Savita Kadam has been selected in Marathwada Team to participate in One day
International Women Kabaddi Meet verses Thailand on 05 Oct. 2010.

3. Phawde Dhanraj Vyankat (50Kg.) has participated in All India Wrestling
Competition at Jaipur University.
4. In this tournament our college has got 02 First, 01 Second and 01 Third prize in Dr.
B.A.M. University, Aurangabad.
5. As well as our College has been awarded with ‘Intercollegiate Wrestling General
Championship Winner’ in 2010-11.

Goals and objectives of our institution are as follows:-

2. Enabling rural youths to find out employments and making them independent.
3. Availing opportunities for all round development of student.
4. Availing opportunities of bright future to the intellectual student.
5. Promoting leadership qualities among the students.
6. Inculcating humanity and patriotism among student.

1) Activities reflecting goals and objectives of the institution:-
Several activities reflecting the goals and objectives of the institution have been going
on in our college. The following activities conducted to achieve the above objects during the
academic year 2010-11.
Objective :- i) Making rural youth’s responsible citizens:-
Regarding the activities ‘Making rural youth’s responsible citizens’, Students were
encouraged to have a wider vision of the global education field such an approach meant to
broader perspective to the student and a source of knowledge, inspiration and enrichment.
Students were given opportunity to participate in Seminars and Lectures organized for student
by different departments and raise questions on issues requiring clarity. Joint Programmes by
two and more departments on various topics were also organized to provide opportunities for
interaction and sharing of knowledge.
Objective :- ii) Enabling rural youths to find out employments and making them
independent:-
To achieve This objectives, The college has introduced through planned and systematic
approach, some innovative academic exercises to help the student to develop ‘skill’ in their
respective field of study, introduced meaningful co-curricular activities to inspire the student
sense of discipline, ethical and moral values, introduced well organized centre for extension
activities to involve students in community service, organizes and inspires students to
participate in literary and cultural competition to help the students to develop their innate
creativity and talent. These activities reflect one the objectives of the college regarding the
other.

f. Visit to fish production centre at Hadapsar in Pune Dist. (M.S.) on 01 Sept.

10) Community Services:
College has organized Seven days NSS special Camp at Hiparga (Rawa) on the theme
“Healthy Youth for Healthy India”. This village is the Historical place, center of
Marathwada Mukti Sangram (freedom movement in Nizam regime) NSS Student Cleaned
village and created awareness among the villagers about population explosion, need to save
environment etc. Health check up and blood Donation camp were also organized on this
occasion.
11) Healthy Practices :-
The college functions under administrative framework of Maharashtra state government and
therefore it has certain inbuilt limitations. Within the limited capacity the college has time
tested reputation in maintaining and developing various healthy practices in various life and
activities.

The following are the few of the healthy practices of the college.
Teacher provides books to needy students.
Out of twenty two regular teachers twenty are engaged in active research work.
College runs extra coaching classes and competitive classes for the students.
Decentralization of administration by creating a number of statutory
committees and cells.
Periodical meeting of all the committees and cells and the teachers council and
exchange of views and suggestions for improvement of the various quality
activities and suggest measures.
Students assessment in classroom by teacher.
Arranging blood donation camp of students’ with collaboration of sparsh
hospital sastur and college N.S.S. Unite of college, And keeping and
maintaining record of blood group to help the needy person in time of
emergency.
The students and the staff meet on 30th
sep. every year to arrange the mass
tribute to the earthquake demised souls and also guide the local people how to
face these natural calamities.
