Sameena is a 12 year old child from
Lohni she is under our Children of
Vulnerable Families Project, Home
support since 2016. She is very intro-
vert individual who is very shy in
expressing herself. We have seen a
drastic change in Sameena after
Summer Camp she has started con-
ducting herself in a more confident manner by expressing
herself more. She is the eldest among four sisters in her
family. Today, we see Sameena as an active, obedient
individual who loves to do em-
broidery. We are happy to
share a small sample of her
work with you all. Sameena
wants to pursue a course in
stitching and also advance
learning in embroidery, knit-
ting & crochet she sees her-
self as Teacher in future.
Ms.Tullika Kiran's journey
started in 2004 with our sister
concern Navjyoti India Founda-
tion in Jahangeerpuri as a volun-
teer. Further, she joined India
Vision Foundation Team in
2009 as a Project Manager in
Tihar in jail no 6. She manages
and supervises the beneficiaries
regular activities and facilitates
visits in jail. She has been actively reaching out to female
beneficiaries for post release program by counseling and
helping them in re settling back in the society by providing
them suitable locality to stay and also job opportunities for
their livelihoods. Ms. Tullika says " I am really passionate
about the work that I do I feel very content for the SEVA
that we do for people, their families & children coming
from vulnerable sections of the society. For me helping
individuals to save their future by giving them a hope to be
better is like giving them a second chance to life.”

Intern’s Speak !
Vanshika is one of our summer
intern. She is a second year law
student from Jindal Global Law
School, who is keen to explore
about human rights. When we
asked her to share experience this
is what she shared with us " The
foundation is extremely active and
dedicated which helped me get
really involved and explore about prison rights; they assign
you with work that helps you learn a lot. I have worked on
diverse group of things, from trying to find International
level collaborators for the NGO's to working on grievances
of the prison staff. The highlight of the internship would
definitely be the prison visits and meeting Kiran Bedi
Ma’am. Working under my mentor, Ms. Renu Nag, was
insightful as she was extremely welcoming and often
shared her experiences with the prisoners helping me get a
better grasp on the prisoner’s life."

ers. Children and their mothers did Yoga with the Prison Project Manager & Counselor. Fe-
males have been actively engaged in doing Yoga daily in the prison premises. They share with
us that Yoga has had a very good effect on them and help them to stay fit and healthy.
A 10 day first of it's kind Residential Summer Camp kick started on 6 June 2017 with 60
young children from the age group of 12 - 18 years
at National Institute of Social Communications, Research
& Training (NISCORT). Looking at happy faces of these
young campers we felt delighted. Our children had a very
good time they made new friends among themselves and
enjoyed every bit of it. With regular ongoing Yoga, Spoken
English, Photography, Theatre & Computer Train-
ing classes children developed good interest in learning. Public Speaking, Sex educa-
tion, Power point presentation were also a part of the regular ongoing sessions. Chil-
dren were very happy to be a part of these amazing sessions and gave a positive feedback. From grammar lessons to
story sessions from Malgudi days, theatre & art and craft workshops everything was small steps towards learning facets
of creativity and teamwork. We are happy to see our children learn beyond what they are already being taught in their
school curriculum beyond school. We would like to extend Thanks to FR. Joe and his team at National Institute of
Social Communications, Research & Training (NISCORT) for adding value to this camp by their able guidance &
support.
For our children’s psychological well being..
It is always good to see our children growing & doing so well with time! We
all learn and take inspiration for them to deliver better. This time we met our
beloved Alumni and had a great time with them. From games to unlimited fun
and joy our Alumni enjoyed all the sessions
conducted for them. Thanks to Rohit
from Family Vision Foundation to be a
part of this amazing meet and enlighten our
children with his session. With an aim to
give back to society and being the problem
solvers for their own lives this alumni meet brought a lot of old memories to play
and also helped children to think beyond their challenges. We vision to empower
more children and help them to lead a life full of joy, zeal, love & peace.
Summer Camp
We are trying to give our children the best we can through the Psychological
interventions. Also, we are trying to im-
prove their emotional, social & formative
well being through different activities. In
order to improve their concentration, pa-
tience & attention level a small activity
based on Pointillism technique of painting
was done. In this activity children were given
papers to fill in the space with dots of color to
form an image. It was observed that there is a positive change in some aspects of their per-
sonality as these children used a good variety of bold colors which depicted their happi-
ness.
