In 2005, the Texas Legislature passed Senate Bill

111 that mandates Texas public colleges and

universities to grant 24 credit hours to students

receiving the IB diploma. To receive the IB

diploma, students must attain a total of 24 or

higher on six exams, taken and pass the Theory

of Knowledge class, engage CAS hours and have

submitted their Extended Essay.

5 = good

4 = satisfactory—PASSING SCORE

24 earns the diploma.
