The Communist Party, Turkey (KP) accelerated its struggle by focusing on the ultimate power of the working class.

KP declared that, the 1st of May of the year 2016 would become a day of unity, solidarity and struggle, where the working class takes position against the fundamentalism and exploitation, dared the imperialist thieves and inhumane powers.

Before the May Day, the communist workers released a statement

daring Erdoğan and declaring their dedication to the struggle against fundamentalism, capitalism and imperialism.

You cannot deposit Nazım's legacy in a bank!

Communist Party, Turkey (KP) came out strongly against OPEL company immediately after the publication of an advertisement using and distorting Nazım's lyrics.

The CC of the KP released a statement protesting the OPEL company for their abuse of communist poet Nazım Hikmet's legacy.

"...Our communist poet's legacy cannot be deposited in banks or kept in safe boxes. That legacy can only be saved forever with the reason and the labour of the communists..." wrote the statement.

The statement of the CC of KP ended as follows:

"We rigorously warn you. Those ads will be removed immediately. An apology will be delivered to the poet himself, to the working class and the people of the world which he devoted his existence, his work, his reason and his life, to the communist movement which he was part of with his whole entity."

OPEL had removed the ad in question from its social media accounts after KP’s strong reaction which mounted a quick campaign of protest.

Similarly, back in 2002 after the YKY publication company had declared material rights over Nazım Hikmet's works, the communists had objected strongly and had published Nazım's works as the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP).

The highlights of the statement which was presented by Ozan Incedere, a metal worker, At the event of the KP on 17th April, 2016, are as follows:

I am the worker, you are the boss.

If I am not taken into account although I am a majority, it is your fault.

I am the one who creates and produces, you are the one who takes under possession. ... I am the one who created all the values of life using my mind and my body.

You are a parasite. You are exploiting my knowledge and my creativity. You are claiming my production.

You are a thief. You are stealing my labour. … I am the creator, the producer. You are the governor.st lie is that I do not exist.

You opened the way to fundamentalism.

You are a thief and a murderer. Not finding a better representative from AKP is because you suit to Erdoğan.

You are a liar while I have the duty to tell the truth.

Your biggest lie is that I do not exist.

Though, I do exist. In this country there are workers. This country has a working class. We exist.

The truth is in my, in our side. You stand on the lies.

The truth always stands above the lies.

The truth beat the bosses.”

The working class is strong with its Party

KP had released a call addressing the working class to join the Party ranks against the fundamentalists, imperialists, capitalists, dictator scraps.

Responding to its call, masses gathered at the Communist Party ranks at İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Samsun, Eskişehir, Edirne, Çanakkale and Mersin.

At the May Day meetings in 2016, the Communist Party, Turkey (KP) received the outcomes of the recent political work in expanding the organization. The KP corteges were the largest at the May Day meetings in all the cities where they participated.

The KP was also represented in Germany and other cities of Europe on May Day celebrations.

The Communist Party, Turkey (KP) celebrated the May Day, on the days when it struggles to build the future in a country where a fundamentalist darkness prevails.
