OBJECTIVES • To celebrate sport sciences across the UK and
internationally• To exchange sport science, clinical and pedagogic
information• To promote education about science, education and
medicine in sport• To encourage multi-disciplinary approaches• To network amongst researchers, pedagogues,
clinicians and practitioners• To present cutting edge research and developments• To secure public engagement by young people and
ordinary members of our communities
AUDIENCE
• c. 5,000 delegates: researchers, professionals, practitioners, students
• Largest global multidisciplinary convention of its type• Every professional sector and all international
scientific and scholarly associations associated with sport, physical education, exercise and physical activity
• E.g. BASES 2012 embedded in the programme
