INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK Celebrated annually during the month of November, International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide. This joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of the efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK Georgia Tech celebrates International Education Week (IEW) each year with a series of events that highlight Tech's international opportunities and that recognize the international accomplishments of Tech students, faculty, and staff. With the OIE Photo Contest and International Coffee Hour recurring annually, new events encouraging global engagement are introduced each year.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION WEEK The past couple years a special

emphasis has been placed on staff. International Education Week is about more than just information sessions for students: the hope is to truly internationalize our campus by bringing all parts of the Georgia Tech campus community together to celebrate the benefits of intercultural exchange. And this means you too! A series of events were arranged and specifically geared towards Georgia Tech faculty and staff.

Observes the UK higher education system, society and culture. Program consists of briefings, campus visits and tours, appointments with selected government officials, cultural activities and meetings with UK higher education and international education professionals.

education personnel with substantial responsibility for enhancing the international dimension on their campus

Preference given to applicants without extensive experience in the host country

Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher/international education

Directors of English language programs and instructors of such programs are not eligible.

professionally, but also try to have people outside your unit and try to have at least one faculty reference)

to write; and, refer back to it before you submit final draft

Ask campus international office or other offices for data

Statements must address: Current job responsibilities and how they relate to a given seminar

Impact your participation will have on your career, professional development, home institution and community

How you will share what you have learned with your home institution and others

Be clear how responsibilities relate to internationalization on campus

Statement should be well-organized and thoroughly proofread

Explain specific interest in the given seminar

Be specific and realistic about future goals and impact of your participation on your institution
